i would push the diminished value claim too, that should get them to just total it. especially on a tacoma since it has such great resale value, as a percentage, it would lose a lot of value

 

My truck has finally made it's way back home. It drives like new and I got a color matched rear bumper out of it. Unclear what my plans are but I'm leaning towards keeping it at this point ....

Congrats on getting your truck back. On the bright side, a new frame is definitely better than a "repaired" one plus the new bumper looks good.

The situation does suck, though. I got hit (when I was standing outside my work truck getting stuff from the cargo box; I messed up my knee pretty badly because I was pinned, but had medical insurance and sick time, and the truck got fixed by my work) by someone who didn't have any money or insurance so it would have been pointless to sue anyway. My knee is fine now most of the time but I won't be doing another triathlon.

it was mainly my back but I'm doing a lot better, thanks for asking.

Still up in the air about keeping it but we'll see what happens.

 

Dealer is only offering me $23k, which means I'm keeping it ... lol
