Canada (OP)... sorry to bump a 3 year old post, but I'm looking for long-term feedback on how well the Rustoleum spray on bed liner has held up on your bumper? You mentioned needing to touch it up after hitting something, but other than that, has it maintained it's look / color well? Has it faded or chipped after 3 years?

Also, I saw on some other sites (Jeep forums) that some people had trouble washing the Rustoleum bed liner due to the rough texture. Instead of using a sponge or cloth, they had to use a pressure sprayer, with mixed results. Have you been able to wash your bumper easily?

Thanks for any feedback, and enjoyed this post (my truck is silver also and can't wait to paint bumper black...yours looks great).

Surprisingly, no issues as far as fading, it looks about the same to me. I should touch up the spots where I bumped into something/someone :/ however , overall I think it looks good. As far as washing goes, no issues there, soap and water, and a little elbow grease :)

Thanks for the feedback. To test the waters, I painted my skid plate this weekend with the bed liner and it turned out great. Next up the rear bumper, then front grill (chrome portion). Might paint tires black also, but not with bed liner, just in case I don't like it and want to return back to original color...

I did mine with actual Rhino Liner (used to spray it back in the day and still have some gallons sitting around)

When you bumped into someone, was it blood you washed off with soap and water?

    JM,

Great post, i know it's been a few years but I am looking to do exactly what you did. After reading through your post I have one question, did you actually remove the chrome plating from your bumper, or just hit the rust spots, or did you just scuff the entire chrome surface to make a good adhesion surface?

    thanks!

    Jake

sorry for the late reply, I hardly get on here anymore. I just took a wire wheel and went over the whole bumper with it, I believe. I need to redo it, it's got a few scuffs in it, but it's held up pretty well after all these years @jallen810
