    Hi All,

I was removing my blank button place-holders in order to install my aftermarket switches, and behind two of them I found wiring harnesses/connections for accessories that I do not think I have. I was wondering what these connections are/would be for? Any advice would be appreciated!

    Thanks,

    John

I think the middle is the "DAC" (downhill assist control), and the one on the right is "RSCA OFF" (turns off airbags roll sensing airbags so they won't go off at "extreme" angles)

That's interesting. I may have the switch connectors behind the blanks (haven't checked) but they are not clicked into the switch blanks like you have there.

Which brand are you installing? I'd like to know how they eventually fit. Thanks.

The wiring harness is the same for all trucks even if they don't have the optional equipment installed. its cheaper than maintaining a separate inventory for each option.

If you were to say add the rsca switch with the wiring already there would you then have a truck equipped with that?

No but you would have the wire in place to install it

Wouldn't these options be there on my vehicle though (TRD Off Road)?

No, you'd have to add the airbags and other equipment required for that feature to function. It's more than a wire and a switch.

would be interesting to see schematic to see how these are routed, thru an existing Module, or one that only exists with the optional equipment. figuring out power, ground and eventual load my allow some useful repurposing.
