Never had an OE fail on a Toyota.
But I have used after market master cylinders. Most of the time they are OK.
If they aren’t bad right out of the box, you’ll probably be fine.

I’d rather run an aftermarket MC than Caliper.

That said, I don’t work on vehicles for a living. I’d wait for the other two guys to voice their opinions. They do this stuff every day.

Aftermarket is fine, as long as its a reputable brand, I've never had a master fail after replacing it.

I get costs, everything is crazy and I even try to save my customers money by suggesting aftermarket from time to time.

Agreed. Disappearing fluid doesn't mean a bad mc. It's going somewhere. You might be able to see something wet through the wheel spokes, or a puddle underneath.

Symptoms of a bad mc I've seen are it's wet and leaking, push the pedal slowly it'll go to the floor, push it hard and fast it'll grab.

If you don't see it leaking onto the ground pull the vacuum line off the booster and see if it's going in there, if it is you will need a booster as well as a master cylinder.
