Picked up my new 2017 TRD Off Road two weeks ago and swapped out the stock meats for new Toyo MT's yesterday. I think I'm going to keep this look for a while and figure out if I'd like to do a minor lift or leveling kit, I don't know much about lifts but I do know that I like the looks of some. Going to do some research on what those types of modifications would do to my warranty and maybe speak to folks who have more experience with this. Anyways, here's a few pic's of my Tacoma as of today...

Congrats, sweet truck. Do you have weight in the bed? The truck looks level to me.

Nope, no weight at all...this truck is so new, the only thing inside it is the owners manual, and thanks!

I love the Toyo Mt's. I have these on my full size 2012 Ram diesel. The tread is aggressive but the road noise is minor and they wear very well. I've been running these tires on my Ram for years and have never regretted them.

No BRO-ness to speak of... Well, except Kbro2's
Agreed.... Would swear that thing has a leveling kit on it. Mine didn't start looking that way until i added the LEER shell and an assload of gear.

Welcome to TW and enjoy the truck and the Toyo's.... I went back to KO2's on this one and wish i had followed my gut and went with the Toyo's like i did on my last truck. BFG's are all right but the Toyo MT is the best wearing, quietest, best performing off road tire i have ever owned!

Nice truck, reminds me a little of my QS OR LB.

The LB already looks pretty level on the stock suspension, likely due to the longer wheelbase and heaver bed so I wouldn't waste any money adding something to bring the nose up, anytime you put something in the bed your truck will look like it's dragging it's ass around. Trucks are designed to have a little forward rake to compensate for loads anyway.

As for lift, decide how high and how much you want to spend. The OR stock suspension is pretty comfy right out of the box so I would recommend spending more time with it to see if it's something you really want to change. I'f it's just for looks you can do it and do it cheap but the ride quality is going to suffer. I personally bought a set of 5100's to throw on the truck, maybe raise it a touch but the ride has been so good stock the billies have been sitting in the garage now for 8 months as I wait to see if that's really what I want to do. I really like the stock suspension too much to change it now but you might feel differently. My truck has 10k miles on it and it seems to just get better every day.

Best lift I've seen that gives you a little height and improves on the OR ride has been the Bilstein 5160/6112 combo with replacement leaf packs. It seems to be the best choice but I'm not sure how deep your pockets are. Plenty of cheaper ways to bump the truck 0.5-2.5 inches but none seem to provide a better ride overall. I haven't heard a single complaint from any of those that have picked that setup.

    Again, nice truck.

Negative, not Cali. I live in the Seattle area and I had to order this truck because it was hard to find a new 2016 the way I wanted...and supply was very low on 2016's period with most surrounding dealerships in my area. I decided to use my Costco membership and took advantage of the Costco Auto Buying Program and placed my order with a gauranteed price after negotiating the price. Saved an additional $3,500 with the program.

So I decided to order a brand new 2017 TRD Off Road with the longer bed. When I placed the order for my truck, I basically ordered everything you could possibly order it with. Below is a list of options I threw in as part of the order package:

Chrome 5 inch oval tube steps
    Bed cleats
    Bed extender
    Bed mats
    Tonneau cover
    All weather floor mats
    Front skid plate
    Glass Breakage Sensor
    Mudguards
    Roof rack
    Rear bumper bed step
Premium Tech Package with JBL audio
    Power sliding rear window
Front windows tinted to match rear windows

I then replaced the stock tires with the Toyo MT's 265/75/R16's. I like these tires better and give the truck a better, beefier look.

Just curious, what were the stock tires,I'm a huge fan of Toyo's but my 2017 off road came with Goodyear Wrangler Kevlar tires I'm going to give a chance on,been running Toyo A/T for years now
