Guess I can start a "build" thread now that I've got a couple things done to my new to me Tacoma. Bought a house and a ring this year so mods might be slow for a little while but my goal is just the best for me camping truck. Want to explore forest service roads then setup camp next to multiple hiking trails or fishing spots. Not looking to turn this thing into a rock crawler or the ultimate off roader.

I started out with a 2016 TRD OR but an F250 w/ 36ft toy hauler ran in the back of me and pushed me into a Kia:

After being told it was totaled I then moved on to a 2017 TRD OR in white:

    Fridge build. So far...

Have the platform built. I did not want to drill a hole anywhere inside my Taco ( not yet at least... ) so I ran power underneath to a BlueSea 12v socket with a quick connect so I can unplug power then remove 2 bolts and the platform is out of the way. The spray glue is still very noticeable in the under side pic but has since dried gone.

Haven't ran wire from my battery yet because I'm stuck on selecting a battery. Leaning towards spending the extra and getting an Odyssey over Optima. Any suggestions? I will eventually be ordering a Prinsu rack and installing a 100w solar panel to help with charge. In the mean time I'll make sure my NOCO is always with me. Once the fridge gets in and I select a batter I'll update!

My wheels are a 0 offset and I have zero issues with rubbing. Love the F5s tho! Just couldn't beat the price of my wheels.

Damn that's a good deal. Don't blame you at all!

I'm def not an expert.. but the 2" would be more than enough. I'll get a lift here soon. Thinking about an Eibach kit. Affordable and great company. Marie from Headstrong has been great with some questions I've had during my research. Highly recommend them.

Truck looks good! What bed cover did you go with? It's high on my list. Was thinking going with a soft one so I could roll it up all the way.

Thinking about getting the same battery. SO, our stock battery tie down wont work for the 27f battery? For Battery tray everyone is using the 2nd gen with tow package

I have 33s on mine and I went the 5100 route. I'm very happy with the results.

The stock tie down would not fit for me and I grabbed a cheap alternative from AutoZone for now. I'm still using the stock battery tray and there is a little overhang right now. I'm not doing any kind of intense off roading until I decide on and order a new battery tray / tie down.

I'm still torn on which route to go with suspension. I don't think I'd ever fully utilize a set of Kings so I immediately thought about going with a Bilstein or Eibach kit with Dakars. I ran across this Fox setup tho and really considering it after reading reviews on the items.

    Getting caught up a little...

    - Replaced bed rack and went with Front Runner for the roof and bed
    - Out with the Tepui and in with the iKamper
    - Purchased a Goal Zero Yeti 500x and paired it with a Nomad 100 I mounted to the roof rack

Made a custom 16 gallon water tank with pump!

It's powered by a 12v battery and the hose has a quick disconnect so it stores perfectly in the side cubby of the bed.
