    Hello all. I'm new to owning a Toyota, driving in manual, and owning cars in general haha. I plan on updating this thread with progress on my truck and any questions I might have throughout my experience with owning this vehicle.

    I'm 21, and started driving regularly only about 4 months ago, before that I backpacked and hitchhiked just about everywhere from Colorado, west. Been out east a little, but not much. Farthest out I've been is Minnesota. Spent a little over a month in North Dakota protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline last November and December, then spent the next three months backpacking around Hawaii. My first car was a kickdown Acura Legend, but its done for. I just bought this Toyota Tacoma, and joined the forum. I've always liked Toyotas for their dependability and longevity, and now I own one. I plan on learning how to work on it myself and keeping this car running for the rest of my days, if not another Toyota.

    I've already installed a few things, and have a few questions. I bought it knowing it needs a little bit of work, and planning on learning along the way.

    Lets start with what I have done so far;

    I have added towing mirrors off an old F-250 that I pulled at the junkyard. I think it looks badass, and they will be functional once I get comfortable enough with the truck to wanna tow something.

    I have also added a second battery that I pulled out of my Acura, it is brand new and it would be a shame to just let it go to waste. I plan on either running them in tandem or adding a switch so I can choose which one I want to pull from. The little flap is made from rubber linoleum and is there to prevent the leads arcing to the hood.

    And my questions. Ill edit this and add those when I have them.

    Thanks for the welcome! I'm glad I found this forum, because I will need this place to bounce questions off all of ya haha, and hopefully eventually know enough to start answering other people's.

    Ok, I tried to post this to group buys but my account is too new, so I'll ask here;

    First of all, If there is someone else trying to get a bulk order of jerry cans, direct me that way.

    I was looking for a few jerry cans, I want 4-6 of them, but cant find them at a price I'd like, they are between 30-50 bucks a can most websites, and I cant find new nato style ones on Craigslist.

    Well I was looking at this website called alibaba, and it would allow us to contact a manufacturer to hve them made for 5-10 bucks a piece. Theres different bids, most need a lot of 500 or 1000, but some will ship a minimum order of 200 or 100.

    Personally I'll buy 8 at the price of 5-10 each, thats only 192 more. Anyone wanna pitch on some jerry cans?
