Thanks. It was starting to get a little cloudy and the truck got a crappy quick rinse, so not as shiny as it could be, but I'd say pretty close to the factory optioned color. 577D3F34-E152-4C8F-9720-4F411BA43714.jpg

Subbed! Great looking truck! You have me wanting to wrap mine in this color now:drool:

If you dont mind me asking, what did the wrap cost you including install?

Original cost $488 with me completing about 2/3 the install myself with some free help. Issues around the rear fenders led to some wasted material and calling/ paying for help. I got a business partners discount of $200 to help finish plus another $130 in material. So my cost all in all was about $830 or so. But would have been closer to $2500 if I dropped the truck off and just had it done.

Nice! Thats not bad at all! I was considering painting my truck inferno, but this has me rethinking it completely.. how hard was the install for someone with no experience with vinyl wrapping? Id love to try and tackle this myself.

I had no experience with this type of vinyl, but had done about 100 motocross bike graphics kits and they are almost completely different. But, if you have any sort of fiberglass fenders, I'd advise against it. Around the rear of the cab and the rear fenders are where I ran into trouble and had to pay for some help

Cost of paying someone to do the whole thing vs paying for someone to paint it will be pretty close. Vinyl is supposed to last 7-10 years and I figure I'll get 3-5 with the abuse I'll put it through, a good paint job should last longer. So for me, trying it and saving money to do it myself is a good learning investment. Maybe next time I'll be able to do it all on my own, or maybe next time I'll decide to go with painting it. But for now and the next few years of me being broke while finishing school, trying the vinyl was my best option.

IMO it looks great for the money.

There is a guy here in town that does wraps as a side business. He told me for a full size truck (referring to his Dodge 2500 club cab) it would cost around $1500 to get it done by him. I am pretty sure that's with him buying the vinyl (so quality might be in question) and the fact that he doesn't remove mirrors, door handles ect, (again, quality). My thougth was to buy the vinyl I wanted and remove all the items myself, let him wrap the "easy" large square footage areas, and would take on the small spots at home.

Still not 100% sure I want him doing it. His pickup looked good from far, but you know the rest o_O

    Looks awesome again.

    Thanks
And yeah quality install and product would be key for me. If he's only charging $1500 he's skimping on one or both of those. I'd say to buy the vinyl you want and try to do the hood yourself. That'll be the easiest piece to learn on. See how you feel about it, then worst case you can strip the rest of the truck and let the guy finish.

Pseudo photo shoot today for the company that helped me with the wrap so they can use the truck to advertise. Only pic I took, but hopefully they send me the others once they go through them in a few days.

First time I've stuffed the tires in the fiberglass bedsides too

Color is close enough. But paint needs to cure a little more before actually mounting them. Maybe get em bolted up tomorrow. Just had to set one up to see how it looked. IMG_2043.jpg
