No worries and thanks. They are out in the cinder pits off 776 I believe. What complex are you in? Over by the movie theater? I saw a new white Tacoma start parking there a little while ago, but I moved to the east side in June. But regardless, pm me some time if you want to go wheeling. I won't be doing anything for a few weeks since I am heading out with a group to run alpine loop in CO in 10 days and still have a bunch of little things to get done. Bus so long as the truck holds together with no problems I should be game for day/ overnight trips come the beginning of September.

Yup that is me! I'm right by the entrance closest to the Harkins. I haven't been in flag too much lately because I work in the valley but I'll be moving back up next week. Damn that sounds like a blast have fun. I am always game for off roading so just let me know!

Will do. Most of our day trips are usually last minute so it's hard to invite people. But if I ever have a few days notice I usually post in the az monthly trail runs and camping thread

Recently went to Colorado and ran the Alpine loop and a few other trails with some friends. Amazing trip and awesome scenery. Ended up running Engineer, Cinnamon, Black Bear, Imogene, and Ophir passes. Incredible drives. For having a fear of heights, running these was certainly a little nerve racking. Especially Black Bear and Imogene

Nice build  I gotta ask you. How was the landing from the jump on your profile pic? Do that often?

    Thanks

The landing wasn't too bad. Landing angle was pretty flat. I definitely bottomed out, but it wasn't too harsh. And no I try not to do that too often. That trip I wanted to jump it and go through the whoops to see how it handled it. I got my answer. And now that I'm up in flagstaff I'm doing more trail driving and crawling than blasting through the desert. But I do hit the skinny pedal when I get the chance.

That's awesome. I had to ask cause I was tempted to do it in pismo the other weekend but it can be risky so I chickened out.lol

That was out in pismo. Go for it and see how it does yourself. The nice thing about pismo is you can find smaller dunes to play around on. Just make sure you start small and then build up. You don't want to launch it on your first go and lawn dart the front end. Though with no bumper, maybe hold off on jumping. Hate to have it dig in a little and rip it apart. Your call, just start small if you do and have someone watching you so they can tell you if you are getting close to going too big or not

Did a little bit of maintenance over the weekend. Got a little bit more to finish up next weekend since nobody stocks the gear oil I want. But noticed some clearance issues with the urd tcai and my intercooler

    image.jpg

Definitely don't want to rub a hole through there. So some quick modifications and I am much happier with this set up all around.

Nothing too exciting to update other than some work in progress.

No pics, but boxed in rear section of frame and cut off my rear roll bar thingy I had. Gonna wait to redo that until I either fix my welder or get a new one since mine is giving me grief.

So I added some d rings into the bed so I could temporarily mount my spare tire back there until I build a new rear bumper with a tire carrier. And mounted the high lift I got for Xmas.

Well had an awesome quick trip to Moab last weekend with some friends in a couple fjs and jeeps. No one on the trails because it is so early in the season and because it was raining off and on. Wish it would've been a longer trip, but leaves more exploring to do next time.

Only pic I have is from a cell phone of me coming up hells gate. I was the only one in the group willing to run it because of the rain.

    image.jpg

And got told by two of my jeep buddies that they were thoroughly impressed with how easy I was making every obstacle look. They had no faith and thought the truck would struggle more, not be the most capable in the group lol

Subd. Just read through your build quickly, Awesome stuff in here. You used to live in SoCal? What part? How do you like Flagstaff? I've thought about Flagstaff as a place to move myself and my family in the future.

Thanks, ordered up a new welder today so I'll be finishing up some projects and probably redoing all of my armor throughout this year. I grew up in moorpark, Ventura county, but had friends go to school in flagstaff so I knew the area before moving myself. I am loving flagstaff and would love to stay if I can when I am done with school. Just gonna depend on if I can find a nice career job when I'm done.
