I feel much better about it now, just wish my tints were a little darker on the rest of the truck to match :D one day

How are those Toyos off road? I've heard they chip easily off road, is that true? They look really good on your truck! I'm looking to possibly ditch my Trail Grapplers for them because the loss on MPG is way too much for me.

    Hey there

Love em :D. I've taken them off-road plenty and I feel like they do justttt fine, lots of grip for ATs I'd imagine. I'm pretty harsh on them when i'm out in the desert too. Super quiet on the pavement. A little slippery in the rain though but I'm sure most offroad tires are.

Full disclosure, I did have one that got one massive chunk and for some reason it popped, had to buy a new spare they couldn't fix it :(. HOWEVER, lots of the AZTW guys run them and haven't had any problems from what I've heard. Nothing since, and I was going 80+ out in the desert if I recall.

These days, my truck is more of a DD although after 35k off and on road the tread is doing pretty good. Took a few pics for you of my most worn down tire. You can see the minor "chips" you mentioned although really, most of this is from my front tires rubbing.

If I were to go back I'd probably buy the same ones, although get the R/Ts instead to get a slightly more aggressive look.

 they had me worried yesterday b/c of the slight addition in weight, and that new tire hum but now I love them :bananadance: 285/70/17 Toyo R/Ts + Cab chop finally

I feel like they don't sit as wide as my old AT's did which I kind of like. I know they're the same size but it looks like they come in skinnier where the actual tread is.

Hey man! Just been taking my street queen to california all the time for work, and wife is pregger :help:

Almost sold my truck a few weeks back but decided to just get new tires, rebuild/revalve the C/Os and do a major service. I ordered a bolt on step for my sliders to help the wife out too haha from Beefed Taco and a couple interior lights from Jumpers. This thread needs some updating because I plan on slowly falling in love with my truck again.

    How are you????

Congrats to you and your wife! Time to start looking for houses? The tacoma was a great family vehicle for me especially for 1 child.

Glad you kept your truck and sounds like a refresh was all you need.

Things are well. My 11 tacoma i traded in awhile back for the 14. Then totalled the 14 back in january of this year. Ran through 2 - 2016 4runner Pro's and now back in a 2016 Tundra Pro.

I see you buzzing around time to time from ahwatukee and chandler. hope all has been well.

Sounds good, I'm sure you see me posted in the driveway off of 17th there quite often. She doesn't fit in the garage comfortably anymore :(

Not a good one. But the 4runner was my wife's car. It wasnt as family friendly as we wanted to.
