I hope it's something that simple. I did have the pedal assembly replaced about 4 months ago due to excessive squeaking, and it's been fine ever since, but perhaps they didn't tighten a bolt to the proper torque. I had over 110k miles on the clutch on my '98 4Runner when I sold it, and it was still working fine, so I know it's not 'operator error'... besides, most of the 13k miles are interstate miles.

Hmmm... I always attributed bucking to poor technique. It happens sometimes with mine when I'm being lazy, or just not paying attention.

I had no problems with my clutch on my 96 taco... and no problems yet with my 06 taco and at times I am known to drive through the gears hard.

I make my taco work! :D

    Good luck with the dealerships...

Diagnosis: broken clevis. Warranty repair, dealer is paying for the tow and should have the part and have it fixed by Monday
