    Tell Him he is right.
Toyota designed it as a fat chick deterrent. Thats what F150's are for!

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
The 2nd gen double cabs are not small, they are pretty much the same size as a first gen Tundra, they can easily accommodate 5 people in comfort. Your truck isn't much smaller than his F150, he's just being a dumbass.

He's right, it only can fit three.

....if one of them is his wife!

That's an interesting comment by your co-worker. They are apples and oranges. Full-size v. Mid-size...
My last truck was a 2005 F150 super-crew 4x4 with 5.5 bed. The interior could fit 3 in the front 60/40 bench and 3 in the back. (bit of a squeeze but possible; the belts were there)
Decent truck overall but a beast like most full-sized trucks. Only chronic problem was an engine light they could never resolve. I wound up taping over it after two years and numerous trips to the Ford dealer...
My 2014 DCLB will fit 4 comfortably; 5 in a squeeze. (I've done 4 on a 1000 mile trip) IMO the ride is better on the highway in my DCLB. Both were good on the highway but the Taco is just a better ride.
The issue for me was the Tacoma fitting easily in my garage. I could get the much wider F150 in but barely get out of the door. My 6'+ bed I can sleep in. Couldn't in the 5.5 F150 bed.
So, I guess one can make a comparison but it's really moot. I would definitely prefer a Tundra over the F150. Whole different animal. Toyota makes a better vehicle; period. IMHO naturally. "To each his own".
Only other observations: My DCLB Taco is slightly longer than my 2005 F150 Screw SB... Gas mileage is better in the Taco. 21mpg around town versus 17mpg in the F150.

Rear Seats on DC are Okay for kids and small adults, other than that its a tight squeeze back there, but as the post above says its apple and oranges...

There are no average men in a Tacoma.

As a former '13 F-150 Crew Cab owner, the Crew Cab on the F-150 is unbelievably huge. *Fact* The F-150 Crew cab actually has a more spacious 2nd row, than the Super Duty.

I see why he probably said what he said, but it was ignorant to do so. To be honest though. The Super Cab F-150 back seat area has more space than the Double Cab Tacoma.

Again, I would never own less than a Double Cab, but even with both of my kids car seats in place, the space in the rear is tight. There is little room for anything else.
