my computer is not reading on the smog machine

Thinking about putting a tranny gcooler

Hi, took my truck to get smogged everything passed except the computer is not reading on their machine, I recently cleared a trouble code so I guess that's why it not reading. Anyone know how many miles have to be put on for my computer starts reading again.also my scanner says that the sel is off should it say on when it is working
