    getting there....
wanna thank everyone for their kind words and thoughts and all. we appreciate it very much!! today was a very hard day, and it was the day that me and my brother got to see dad for the first time since he died, and it was also the last. it was pretty hard, and neither of my sisters could handle it, so they stayed at the house........as they wanted to remember how my dad looked before he passed. we are going to have the visitation on wednesday, and my dad will be cremated, so there will be no funeral. and i think we have decided that,as much as my dad loved hiking and camping, we are going to plan a camping trip for next year and spread his ashes in the mountains, up in the pisgah national forest. it feels like it will be a good tribute to him.

there are still gonna be some pretty rough days ahead, but we will manage. just wanted to take the time and say thanks to all ya'll and let you know that myself and my family really appreciate all the kind words and sympathies.:)

your plans for spreading his ashes sounds just like what I would want done with mine. I love Pisgah National you should hike John Rock trail it ends on the top of a mountain face where hawks soar by and you have a beautiful view of looking glass rock. You are a good son to do this for your dad I'm sure he would be proud.

Sorry to hear about your loss Will. Since you say that your dad loved hiking and the outdoors, I think that there is no better place to rest him than the environment that he loved.
