Cleaning a windshield with one's tongue does not actually make it clean.

Hey Cop, You must be pretty happy that a Dunkin' Donuts is going in right at I-20 and Clemson. "Who's Holding Up The Line?"

I come from the land of Dunkin' Donuts. I remember the first one. It's one of those " I wish I knew then what I knew now" thingies.

    Ok...what are "sliders"??

Since he located the noise from the back seat, I'm guess that means the rails the front seats are mounted on.

I still can't visualize how jacking the cabin off the frame would get to anything near the seat rails...

    What am I missing here?

Sliders, rock sliders....those bars that run along the length of the cab's exterior. Mounted to the frame by either welding them or bolting them. They keep your rocker panels/lower door edges intact while off-road. You can "slide" the truck across a rock/stump without body damage.

    "Use the search Luke!"

Or.....little hamburgers that are eaten by the truck load in one sitting. (burp)

CHRIS! Feel like driving to Los Angeles? I have this similar noice going on with my truck, except I don't have sliders. Seems to be coming from the rear of the truck. I've checked the U-bolts, wheels, shocks, spare tire, i've even removed the tailgate to see if that was jigglin'! Any ideas?

Oh and my noise isn't as bad as greysky's. It only happens when driving on rough pavement, or offroad..

LOL, Have someone jump up and down in your bed while you are under the truck. Try to find where exactly the noise is comming from. My bet is its the leaf springs. If thats the case, take it to a car wash and blast the shit out of them. Its just dirt and gunk stuck in them.

I've tried the bed-jumping bit. The truck is pretty dirty underneath, but its more of a clunking noice than a squeaking.. i could try cleaning it off tho, if it doesn't solve the problem, at least the truck will be clean lol..

Ok. So you have had someone jump up and down in it with you under the truck??? Only thing I can think of that may cause a clunking sound from the rear would be the spare tire. Make sure its cranked up tight to the bed.
