$900 for having the guy in the back throw some tint on the back glass? And Toyota dealers wonder why no one wants to take their trucks to them for oil changes and other services, as they email the hell out of you.

My experience was awesome at the dealer. I went in and told him which Tacoma I want. He worked out the numbers and I told him great and now take $4300 off that price.
Helps when you work for Toyota manufacturing
Then first they said expected delivery around August. I said fine I’m in no hurry. next day they told me I’ll be getting it in July

So, if you are the only driver then what good is a power seat??

You adjust it once to fit your fanny, then its set. How often does your fanny change shape????

Well good for you? I guess? I also get great discounts and delivery on things from the company I work for.

Or just change the wiper switch like I did, fixed that problem for the $75 a used one cost me here and about 10 minutes of my time.

Big time this on the financing. I had done this and knew I had a great rate lined up being that I have excellent credit plus belong to a somewhat exclusive credit union. But I figured I'll let the sales guy pitch me and say no. He ended up the pitch with "oh you'll get 0.9% on this" and i kept shut.

I did get them up quite a bit on my trade which I am sure they didn't resell a 5 year old Chevy..could have got more privately but I'd had major engine failure on it. It was fixed "professionally" by GM (ho ho ho) but it was worth losing a little value to get it out of my life.

My 2016 also doesn't have intermittent wipers. I thought they were a mandated safety item. Shows what I know!

Yep. I'm intrigued with the claim that a wiper switch will give me intermittent wipers and installation time is 10 minutes.

Reading all these awful experiences makes me so happy I got my 18 3 years ago and I got a good discount back then.

I'd hate to try and buy a new vehicle on today's market.

I wish luck to all of you shopping around for something new.

You could get a nice pair of dykes and maybe some duck bill pliers and start yanking and cutting away at anything you fine under the seat.

The regular seats are forward-backward adjustable, you can move the seatback to recline, and there might be a height adjustment. The powered seat is 10-way adjustable. Forward-backward, up-down, seatback recline, there's also a lumbar support adjustment that moves in and out (pushes against your spine or moves away from it) and an adjustment that widens the seat so that the seat wings (idk the technical term) fit your body's width better and hold you in place while cornering.

Is it worth it? It depends on how well you conform to the standard seat. I'd argue that no one is going to fit the standard seat so perfectly that they wouldn't benefit from a more exact ergonomic match to their body. It's mostly just a question of "how much are you willing to pay for comfort while driving."

I owned a 2000 for 13 years, and when I bought my 21 I was willing to pay for a better seat. YMMV.

Part of getting a good experience at a car dealership is understanding the market, the models of vehicles, and pricing.

You can shop around online very easy across the nation to see what asking prices are on cars.
Can call around or email and get internet quotes where available.

The OP seemed to have gone in not understanding current pricing trends. (They are really high right now).
Nor did the OP seem to have any empathetic understanding of what situation the dealer is in right now. (By empathy, I'm not saying the OP needs to be sympathetic to the dealer, but they should at least understand where the dealer is. (Low inventory, high prices). Basic understanding of markets would reveal this).

A person can't blame a dealer for having a window sticker posting the price of the car, right on the vehicle itself, and then apologize for you not seeing it, or them providing the correct asking price when you asked them.

Dealers are down to days of supply. Okay, but who is buying a new vehicle in June. Most of the new off the lot vehicles I see on the road have been purchased in either April or May.

    It's not a claim if it's true, though I have a 2gen so I can't swear to firsthand on the 3gen
