I actually noticed the scratch just before I drove it off the lot after signing the paperwork...doing the final walk with the sales guy showing me how to use the radio and all the buttons etc. No rush. No real issues and I wasnt worried because I never thought it would take 4 attempts to get the paint correct. On the upside to all this I DO have a sweet truck and one of the rentals was a Dodge Charger HEMI

    Sounds great here.

Wanting exhaust for free is like reading a different persons post.

I'm glad you're happy with the truck in the end, even if the experience sucked.

Ah. Bad timing then. I get the frustration; really, I do. I get the hassle, the lost time, the stress. This is one of those times you've got to cut your losses, accept what is, and move on. You'll forget about this ordeal in a few weeks and will be happier in the long run than if you pursue some "acceptable compensation" fight. We all get screwed once in a while.

Sorry about all the hassle; that doesn't sound like a good experience. I'd definitely address it on the surveys.

Now it's over, so enjoy the truck.

If the scratch is your only complaint I would call it good and drive. If you read through the threads about trans issues, diffs, etc. you'll consider yourself lucky. I'd find another dealer regardless.

I don't think I would have bothered hauling back to the stinkin dealer for a 1/2 inch scratch to begin with. A tiny jar of touch up paint and a toothpick and I would have patched it myself if I was so inclined.

Good lord, its a phukin pickup truck we're talking about, right?

    Being it's a cosmetic issue I wouldn't sweat it.
    Mechanical issues are a pain.

Either way I feel it's time to find another dealer.

What exactly did the collision center
"screw up"? Or not do to your satisfaction?
You have some pictures of the scratch, or the so called abomination of a repair job they did?

You had a 1/2in. scratch on the hood of your super white truck.
I know they didn't re-paint the hood every one of the 4 times, so what exactly did they do that you're so unhappy with?

No offense, but you sound like that customer no one ever wants to have, and then you're asking them to give you free TRD parts for your hassle. Not a good look.

Actually they DID repaint the entire hood 4 times and admitted to it. Each time we all saw the flaws like overspray, holidays and drips. As for pictures no I don't have any nor do I need any. Enough people saw the original scratch and the follow up paint work.

Sorry my trucks color or the way I approached this situation aren't to your liking but that's how I roll. When I pay that much for a truck I want to be the one putting the first scratch in it.

I am treating this like a bad meal or overcooked steak when at a restaurant. If it's not to my liking I send it back until it is...

P.S. Car salesmen are used to far worse customers than me. I was friendly about everything and have been very patient. I'm not yelling or being rude

OP, the worst thing the manager is say is "NO". You'll never know the outcome unless you try, so good job for trying!

Exactly, your most valuable tool when buying a new vehicle is to be able to walk away. Being in a hurry to buy or overly excited is the car salesman's life blood. Once they recognize you are not going to back out of the deal, or willing to "just go along with anything" your done!

Every dealership no matter what brand doing any type of in house warranty work always uses the lowest paid person for the job.

I would be happy the paint is close to the same color as the rest of the truck .

Myself I would likely have more paint damage after a week of driving

Truck is white. Get a light bar for the roof and flat black vinyl on the hood that will cover the mess and reduce glare and look cool and look like you know your shit and enjoy yo shit.

I can't believe you took it back 4 times. By the 3rd time it would have went to a professional body shop of my choice.
