Tonight I was at work and I saw I guy walking around with a shirt that had a big weed leaf on the front. And he looked like a pot head too . I kinda snickered because the guy was obviously stoned. Well I guess he heard me. He looks at me and says "Man don't laugh at the herb. That shit's natural and it won't hurt anyone. The government wants to keep it down. But they let people get drunk. That's bullshit because weed is natural too and if its natural it won't hurt you."
That last sentence is what got me. I look at him and say "Really? Anything that's natural won't hurt you, huh? A rattlesnake is natural. That bastard will kill you."
"Well that's an animal. Plants aren't like that though. Plants don't hurt people"
"Ok, there's a tree with poison oak under it. Go roll around in it and see how you feel. Light some poison sumac up and smoke it. I bet you feel REAL good after that."
"Man, whatever. Where's the potato chips at?"

I have yet to hear of someone smoking too much, going home and beating their wife and kids...

not to get into the argument of pot v. alcohol...but people go home and beat their spouses and kids without the help of any intoxicating agent...

we should just ban being alive

Yeah I didn't debate that. I know that someone who's stoned is more likely to worry about how many twinkies there are rather than beating his wife. I just debated him saying that anything that is natural is harmless.

Guys, we don't need another pot thread, and if it should be legal or not.

I'm sure it wasn't the intent, but every thread on the site....EVER, about pot. Has resulted in a debate, between people who want it legalized, vs. keeping illegal.

    But it's alright.

It was a pretty damn funny conversation.

Sounds like more of an idiot to me. I know people that smoke and they all seem more intelligent than him.

Well of course I did. I didn't want to keep the man from his snacks. I sent him to the organic all natural chips though so he could be sure that he would be safe!
