First question is when can the RDL be used. I tried to use it today and it just blinks at me on the dash. Put the truck in 4x4 high and it still blinks, 4x4 low it still blinks... I think its like the 4x4 signal it blinks then turn to solid when it locks in .......... mine never locks in. whats the deal..... next question is the dealer going to tell me to go shive it up my *#### since Ive raise the truck 3 inches...

I went through the same thing when I 1st bought my truck

the truck has to be in 4lo. then click the button, if it continues blinking, roll forward or backwords a little with the wheel turned at a slight angle. It should pop in :)

A dealer can not deny warranty claims because of aftermarket parts or modifications unless they can prove that those parts or modifications caused the problem to begin with. Read up about the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act if you're concerned.

So the only time you should use or can use the Diff lock is in 4 low? What is the purpose of the Diff lock or what conditions would you ever need it for?

i prob should have added this too

shift to 4hi...then come to a complete stop...shift truck to n...shift 4wd to n then to 4lo...then put truck back in gear...press diff lock button...ease forward...if you lower your windows you can hear it engage and the light will stop blinking and go solid...you may have to roll back and forth a little bit to get it to engage...possibly turning a slight bit as well

This rear diff anytime mod... is it only for 1st gens? Or does it work on 2nd gens also??? Seems VERY easy to do and I thought that everything I saw for the 2nd gens was more difficult.

from what i understand theres a different route you have to take to do it to the 05+ models...its a bit more tricky but it can still be done
