Is it something new about the 2017 I have. This is already built into the instrument cluster display.

Really? Could you share some pics? I haven't heard or seen anyone talking about this.

yes :) I've got the bigger screen and got it all working on that. Problem is I have to rewrite the source code from scratch because my main HD crashed and I lost it. Let's just leave this convo at that because I constantly kick myself in the ass for not backing that project up online like I do everything else.
So, i've already begun development a second time around, it's just going a little slower.

Thanks man! The bigger screen won't, unfortunately, but I should be able to adapt the code for any size screen.. I think. I've got my clock panel somewhere, I'll measure!

That's incredibly badass. I've never heard of that! Well shucks.
For those of you inquiring on an update...
I've worked on this some but not a ton. I'm in the process of moving and all that jazz so it's making things a little complicated.

Got this back up and going and rewrote the basics from scratch. i've spent the last 2 hours trying to figure out why I can't get anything out of my sensor but i believe i've come to the conclusion that it is fried. ugh. time to order a new one

Are you limited to just the inclinometer?

I would be interested in a multi screen display for a few sensors. Boost, oil pressure, water temp etc...

I came across the idea of the arduino gauges a while ago but wouldn't know where to start

I'm not necessarily limited to it but for this project I won't be expanding it quite that much. The most I was going to add was a compass and GPS

I've wanted to pick this project back up for a long time. Finally at a point where I have the time and motivation to do so so last night I started fresh.
Started to re-write the entire thing from scratch for the 3rd or 4th time I believe. The previous computers I designed this on are long gone and I didn't have the original files backed up anywhere.

Basic functionality is at least here.

Looking back at the old to-do list it seems this is where I left it
    • Smoother animations
    • Better image
    • different vehicles
    • Pitch animations
    • Reset to 0 button
    • Display individual degrees

All of these still need to be done, too :D
The images I used here are solely a visual for me while debugging, but would still like the ability to have a few options to choose from such as 1st gen, 2nd gen, toyota logo, basic lines?
I don't think I'd do a reset button per-se though. Looking back now I'm not sure why I wanted to add that.

I don't think this project will get too advanced. I'd still like to add some sort of a basic GPS logger, but I think that may be as advanced as it would go.

    Anyways, it's alive?
