I fortunately had the Honda behind it to drive while I prepped the truck. It took 3 weekends to prep and 2 hours to spray the bed liner on.

I did, and put a lot of thought into it before I pulled the trigger. I really didn't want to mess it up. I've had this truck for 18 years and really don't want to ever get rid of it. My wife on the other hand said it was getting old and wanted me to trade it in for a newer model. I told her she's getting old should I trade her in for a newer model. Never heard any more about it from her.

Nice. I’ve told my wife once she hits 50 I’m trading her in for two 25s. She doesn’t laugh as hard as I do.

I like it, it looks like it came out great. I've been looking at Raptorliner for a while, but I can't find any long term reviews on it. I've heard that "its all the same, its just the prep that matters", but you obviously put the work into the prep.
Do you have any insight into the wear and longevity (fading) of the Raptorliner after a couple years?
Would you do it again? Would you try a different product?

No fading yet and its been over a year now. I would do it again and use the Raptorliner over other products.

What spray gun did you use and what size compressor? Ive had my for 18 years and the paint is toast. One more question, how did you prime it, spray gun also?

I used the Upol gun that came with the RaptorLiner kit. Here is the link to the spray gun: http://www.tcpglobal.com/UPO-726.html#.W7OWi2hKiUk . I purchased the whole kit from www.tcpglobal.com. Link to Kit: http://www.tcpglobal.com/UPO-KIT-0823-T14-6-GUN.html#.W7OkEmhKiUk. The compressor I used was a 120psi electric compressor. I used a psi regulator to control the psi output on the spray gun. (regulator came with the kit) I primed it 3 times with rattle cans. I used the rust-oleum automotive self-etching primer and sanded with 200grit in between cotes.

I should have ordered the 8-liter kit and did the bed also and got rid of the plastic bed liner. Funny how the whole truck is covered in bed liner except for the bed of the truck.

Awesome work and very inspiring! Pretty ironic that you didn’t do the actual bed, lol.
I’d like to get a close-up next time I’m in Austin.

Sure thing. Send me a PM when you're going to be in town. I've been trying to get to the Cars and Coffee meet up here in Austin but I can't seem to get free on those days.

With the Raptor just go to any paint store and have them match your color. Then pour said color into the raptor, mix, then spray.

They have several very good videos on their YouTube channel iirc.

Word I’ve been really looking into this instead of painting. I am really curious to as how colors come out in tintable Since I want to do the body I want to spray really fine to imitate a matte paint job.

I was initially going to do the raptor kit but went dipyourcar.com instead.

My buddy has the sprayer so went this route instead because they just had their end of summer sale and I'm kinda intrigued by the whole plastidip concept so figured would try it out.

Automotive paint supply or industrial coating supply shops seem to be the only places with staff capable/willing to even consider helping you in my experience
