I am so sorry for your loss. I know how dogs become part of the family. I have two and they are so important to me and my family.

thank you all. I know she didnt die alone. she will never leave my thoughts. everytime i see one of her toys a tear comes. i just feel really bad for my dad because he had to watch her die. he said that he tried to keep her alive, so that she could look into someones eyes and be comforted b4 she passed. and he said she saw his eyes. This was my first dog, so it seems like the hardest loss

I had a boxer for 15 years. Had her from the time I was 5 to 20. Sweetest thing. When she died I was crushed. Cried everynight for weeks. I cried more over her than when my relatives have died. Dogs leave pawprints on your heart.

You have wonderful taste in dogs! GSDs are my favorite breed by a landslide - speaking German may cause bias, aber ich glaube das nicht.

Jenny was also a beautiful dog - I would have adopted her on sight, so I am envious of you having her.

Also, how do you like Bellingham and your new Deutscheschäferhund?

bellingham is nice. its rainy, but not a bad deal coming from socal where we wouldnt go anywhere because the traffic was so bad and the school systems were terrible. and Mo is full grown but still very puppy like, we are going to have our hands full but it helps that my mom was trained to handle canines at the border patrol academy. i think we might rename him. because mozart amadeus just doesnt really fit him well. btw.. hes a BIG dog. haha

Very sorry to hear about your loss. I had a golden retriever that died about two years ago. That was the hardest thing to cope with, he was honestly like a brother to me. I took it very hard and I still miss the hell out of him. A dog becomes part of your family.
Again, I am very sorry. It was a horrible way to go, but atleast she didn't suffer.

Just got home from taking Roscoe to the vet to be "put to sleep." He was my 13 yo Ger Shep and sounds alot like Jenny. Never met a human he didn't like, but if a stray came in the yard he got between the intruder and us/kids and "look out"! He was bred as a K9 dog and was too big a lover for law enforcement and my bro-in-law who's a county deputy had him and didn't have any place to keep him so we raised him since he was 6months old. He just got so weak he couldn't ambulate and had quit eating the last 2 days. Wow that was the hardest thing ever. I couldn't even talk to our vet or his staff from the lump in my throat and the tears. Jeeeeez. I think he knew it was time.
