If anyone could read; the 12% was not what anyone actually paid nor was it anything the OP said.

    THANK YOU!

no 12% here, that's ridiculous, my NFCU bank loan is for 1.79%.

And yes I live in Hawaii, shit cost ALOT more, mainlanders don't understand this, we don't even get free shipping on orders over $100 out here

I've never seen Toyota offer 0% on Tacomas, I had to bargain to get them at 2.9% and MSRP at 32K on a 12 TRD OR DBLC, however they did me right on my 07 FJ in which I had plenty of equity in. 28K OTD with a 100K warranty.

I like 'em new also, but I have seen some sweet deals on 2 year old tacomas with stock tires and no scratches, 20k miles.

Or as was aaid previously save $400 or 500 a month for a year or so and get one with a decent down payment and a lot better interest rate. This will really bring down your payment.

Phuc that, I want to buy my 1st brand new truck off the dealership floor after 34yrs of living and probably 14 used cars/trucks Ive owned.

Going to talk to them in the am and see how much it would be to lease it. If it lowers the payments and I can just buy it after wards, why not? I want this truck and every bit helps. wish me luck, going back into the lions den in 14hrs. :D Lets try a diff approach. I could always sell my rubi and just put 1/2 towards the Taco and 1/2 towards a car for my chicky........hmmmmmm that would lower my payments......or just trade it in on the taco and get a another small loan for my girls car?

I leased mine, if anything its a better choice than financing.. just buy it out after, these trucks have excellent retail value, and you can sell it after a year of owning anyways and not be in a negative equity situation, OR, if in the unfortunate event of an accident, you can just give it back to the dealership after your term is over instead of keeping a truck with a big dec on it.
