UPDATE: I have done more research and I have changed my mind that I would ONLY like to trade for a 05-08 8.4" with a LSD. Sorry to those that have offered their open diff.

As the title says i'm looking to trade my whole elocker diff for and open 8" diff. I would like a straight trade, so thats a bonus for who ever wants a locker! Im located in colorado springs, CO. We can swap the diffs at my place, so uf you are interested in this great deal reply, pm or call me at 858 fourfour4six3sixfive.

P.S. my truck has less than 75k and i wouldlike yours to be around the same, but i will entertain any offers.

Edit: im looking for the whole axle

Edit2: I have stated that theirs an open 8" diff in our truck, that is NOT correct only the locker is an 8" the rest are 8.4". Sorry for the confusion.

Yes I am. But like some have said, the whole rear axle needs to be swapped. Are you still interested in doing that? Also, I'd need the module and wiring/switch associated with engaging the locker. I have an open SR5 non LSD rear.

Just realized we have different gear ratios too, so maybe more of a project than I'm willing to do. I'd have to swap the gears on my front axle.

Yes sir. 8" open diff with stock gears. 3.73. 80k miles.

    I thought the e-locker had 4.10's? Maybe I'm wrong.

    Sweet thanks for the info.

OK so we have the same setup, should be a straight axle swap then, right? And run the wiring to the module and the switch? I'm down for this.

4:10s in the manual and 3:73 in automatic trucks V6 trucks. But, make damn sure before you swap axles. Swapping the wiring will be near impossible unless your truck is prewired and you just need the switch and the extension harness, but i doubt this. Inchworm gear sells a wiring harness with switches to activate factory Toyota E-Lockers.

    http://www.inchwormgear.com/collections/3rds-diffs/products/electric-locker-control-kit

Your 4runner has a Linked rear with disk brakes, Tacoma has a leaf sprung rear with drum brakes, You would have to swap just the thirds which would require you to notch your housing and drill and tap two additional holes. the OP wants to swap whole axle anyways.

Or you can order a elocker harness retro fit kit thingy from marlincrawler.com ......

Open rear will make a stronger (aftermarket) locked differential then a elocker differential..why I'm interested.

Axle straight swap. Factory wire would be very involved, but we can run wire and the switch, then you could engage it at any point. Im looking up at how exactly it is all wired.
