I don't go to the movies anymore because of that shit. It's like $10-12 a ticket now? With popcorn, drink, and the gas to get there, I'm looking at $40-50 to deal with that shit. My wife and I agreed it's better to just watch it on Redbox or DirecTV Cinema.

Did I read that correctly that you gave out a STFU for people talking during the previews?

I've yelled at a group of "sistas" that wouldn't keep their damn mouths shut but that was 40 mins into a movie

My fiancee and I went to the movies and it was after my brothers baseball game, I had one of those portable air horns in a can.

These kids wouldnt be quiet, so I asked them to please be quiet (I was like 21 so I wasnt much older). They kept talking (the movie just started to come on) I turned around and blared the air horn and I think one pee'd.

Everyone laughed and they got up and left.....

    ^lol that's awesome.

I think by now, most of you know how I roll. I've smacked shoes, untied them, yelled, rocked the chair back at them, etc. Now I only go to movies after its been out a while and usually a weeknight showing. The whole theatre is empty!

yes. that was after 15 minutes of waiting for the movie to start and then another 15 minutes after the house llights went dim during the previews.

listening to these 3 after 30 minutes was enough for me and we had no indication that they were going to stop.

Good shit. I can't stand someone Texting on their phone in the theater. Usually when you show you mean business people tend to shut up.

Typically i would say that politely letting someone know they are being disruptive is the best solution. But kids these days have absolutely no respect for anything. You gave em a warning, then did the only thing that would get results from some snotty shits... only thing i would have done different maybe is wait until the previews are over..
also, try the silent angry threat some time. to me someone looking like theyre goona snap at any second while turning red and mumbling horrible things is much more intimidating than a loud person :D

    neglect, mostly.
i was sitting right behind a family with 4 kids all under the age of 10, when i went to see the Hangover 2. . . . it just made that terrible movie worse. the kids where laughing at EVERYTHING cause they didnt understand ANY of it. they were asking their parents questions the whole time, it was just annoying. . . to be honest, the worst part to me was that these kids were taken there. maybe i was just raised properly, but i don't think little kids need to here the F-word and see transvestite penisis in movies at that age. so that part just made me feel awkward for their sake.

anyway, really got derailed there. Nice job OP, i wish i had the stones to do that more often.

Yeah one time I had a little like 10-12yr old kid that ran up an down my aisle like 5 times, I just finally stuck my arm out stopping him and looked him straight in the eyes and firmly said "stop", I'm pretty sure he shit his pants, and I never saw him again the whole movie.

OP you did a good job, the only way to get any respect or for somone to listen to you now is to get right in their face and be stern, usually with a swear or two. Everyone is a bad ass today and thinks they are tough shit if they ignore polite requests, kind of a PITA.

HAHAHA thats a fantastic idea, im going to try it:D

I had a kid doing that at a foot ball game, he thought the stairs and the hand rail was his personal playground, and he wouldnt quit running up and down the steps screaming and swinging on the hand rails. So i stuck my arm out and told him if he wanted to run around and be obnoxious to go do it my mommy and daddy. He stared at me for a second blankly then i told him that meant to go away.
