    Just giving my two cents.

I bought my truck in May, connected my phone to it and everything worked fine the first few weeks. When ever I jumped in my truck my music would pick up where it left off as it should. Shortly after I started having issues with it taking a while for it to connect on its own or it would not connect at all and I would have to turn off and on my Bluetooth in order to play music (Not hard just a little annoying).

Fast forward to a couple weeks ago... I upgrade my phone from the iPhone 7 to the iPhone XS. Now everything works like a charm. Connects right away every time right to where it was. I have not had any TSB's done or had any Entune updates. The only thing that changed was my phone. Has this happened to anybody else?

Not sure if it was because my truck was newer than my phone or maybe my phone was going bad (phone wasn't broken but was dropped numerous times in its case).

I'm not saying go buy a phone if this is happening to anyone else but this is just what happened to me.

I bought my truck in May as well and use an iPhone X with the entune audio plus. I have never had a problem. Bluetooth, calls, music, nothing. It has worked like a charm.

I have an older Samsung S6 and it works every time. Much better than our 2011 Highlander bluetooth for sure.

    • I have a work phone that is a Samsung Galaxy S6 running older Android.
    • I also have a Google Pixel running the newest Android.
The older phone is buggy and sometimes auto connects to play music, sometimes does not. My Google consistently picks up where I left off. I think it is an app version or Bluetooth parameter in the OS itself.

Mine won't play music if I'm on the phone before I get in the truck. So, essentially, I have to turn it off and back on—or hang up and call back after I get in the truck. Seems kinda stupid

That's the most Apple answer I've ever heard to a problem. "It quit working, so I spent a grand and bought a new one and it fixed it!" Get outta here.

Bluetooth is shitty tech that was never designed to do what we do with it. It tends to break because of a lot of factors. Most of them can be solved by deleting the pairing from BOTH ENDS (<-- most people don't do that right) and then re-pairing them. Updates to software will often mess up the pairing and it needs to be redone.

I haven't had any issues with my iPhone 6S Plus up to my iPhone X. A lot of times forgetting the device and reconnecting will fix some issues..or just a good phone wipe helps.

I have an iPhone 7 and it works fine. Majority of the time my music starts up right away but sometimes it likes to play random music or podcasts or it starts playing songs in alphabetical order which drives me nuts. The entune is pretty much crap. It’s not easy to navigate at all especially if you want to change artists, you have to go thru the whole menu it’s so distracting. I really need to buy a new head unit with Apple Car Play.

So I’ve been having tons of issues with my Bluetooth /head unit. It’s only getting worse.

It started with texts never really working. Then it moved to chopping /skipping in the audio. This was corrected every time I unpaired the phone. However once I would set up my contact in favorites it would go back.

Nowadays I dial my phone through the stereo it will appear to struggle to connect. Then the entire head unit reboots.

I have solved BT connection problems with entune by simply "forgetting" the pairing on both the phone and the head unit. And then re-pairing.

I've had problems with Entune and the phone I have however the OS update my phone got seems to have fixed the issues I was experiencing for the most part. On occasion I'll have to forget/disconnect bluetooth/re-pair, but not nearly as often.
