I don't think that is possible because the package showed zero damage so there is no way parts just fall out nor did the packaging on the sliders show any damage. They wouldn't just throw a bunch of hardware in there randomly, all hardware was inside a thick plastic bag taped to the bottom of the sliders inside all the wrapping so zero chance that falls off a truck or gets lost during transit, they just forgot to include them. I take the blame for not checking that first I agree with you but now I am pretty close to just saying this is not worth a headache and just go with a different brand because according to the shop, they said they install these weekly as they are a Toyota specific shop and they are telling me these are defective both the driver and passenger side... If you were me what would you do? Return these and forget about it or continue on with CBI?

What did CBI lie to you about? At least you were able to get them on the phone, I tried and was put on hold for 35+ minutes and I had a conference meeting to take so I just gave up and went with the email route. The email response I got from CBI pretty much states they're aware of this issue and they said it's because it's a Tacoma and are now asking if I can adjust them to make them fit. I can't adjust something that was defectively made in the first place...

I can't tell if you are joking or not haha... the "kick out" portion is supposed to always go towards the rear fender and I did mention that I opted for the kick out option in my earlier post... The shop that installed these installs sliders on a weekly basis so I don't think they would majorly fuck it up that hard and that would look extremely ugly if the kick out at the front nor would the bolt holes even line up.

Honestly, I've had mixed customer service experiences with them as well. I wouldn't put the issue you had in the "you problem" category for not verifying hardware. I would have done the same thing. You should assume that what you ordered showed up complete-that includes all hardware and pieces. your ask for a coupon code for a future order was also not a reach... I would have asked for a discount on the slider order for yours and the shops time due to their screw up. If they refused I would have charged a portion of it back on my CC. Pretty easy to explain that the order arrived incomplete and the company wasn't helpful in trying to remedy the situation.

God damn that sounds like an even worse nightmare than mine, sorry you had to go through that. My shop said the same thing and they stopped being a dealer for CBI because of way too many issues.

What signature? The pallet was delivered to a warehouse south of the border, I pay for the warehouse to save on shipping costs since I live near the border. The warehouse cannot legally open the packages they receive nor would they if I asked "hey can you check all 60 pieces are there for me before I drive down?". I was notified by the warehouse the shipment was there and I drove across the border to collect the package. The gentleman at the warehouse was kind enough to help me load them in the truck bed for me, I never signed for anything directly from CBI as I was not present during delivery. This is how a lot of local businesses here operate is they'll rent a warehouse across the border and make weekly pickups to save on shipping costs. So you are denying that CBI should have included all hardware? Sorry but when I pay 100% upfront cost I expect 100% of all items to be included, that's very simple in any business.

As I've said before, the hardware was inside a separate package taped to the sliders which were wrapped like a Christmas present so there is 0% chance it falls out or gets lost by the freight company nor was there any damage. There is no entitlement here I just want to use the product I paid for w/o headaches and I think that's pretty fair to ask as a consumer. I didn't have any of these issues with other vendors so far with the mods on my truck whether that's suspension upgrades or skid plates, tonneau covers, bed racks etc. Seems like you are just on here to give people a hard time, maybe come up with a solution instead with all the negativity and boot licking.

The purpose of my post is to steer future customers away from this company and clearly after reading through this thread there are many others who have had absolute shit service from CBI. This post will likely be on TW forever and even if within the next year 10 potential buyers see this thread, I'm doing them a favor.

I said I live downtown in a building with no personal driveway to open the package in the lobby nor do I have a drive way to do the work. I picked up the shipment and drove directly to the shop. Clearly reading comprehension is not your strong suit. I'm an attorney so the time I would spend working on something like this I would have already made back the cost of the sliders. No where in my post did I say the delivery driver dropped off the pallet at my building. Stop smoking whatever it is you are smoking. You even quoted my post but you didn't even read it beforehand. Where does it say the pallet was dropped at my building? Are you that dense?

No where prior to this post did you mention drop off to a warehouse. So why didnt you check it there, why make an excuse about a building lobby when sliders are at a warehouse.? Why aren't you holding the warehouse responsible for accepting shipment? As a lawyer you clearly gave the warehouse signature authority to accept shipment so why arent you complaining about them instead.

Sorry, probably the dumbest lawyer alive...but to be honest you probably arent even done with your JD.

My point is whether I checked or not I didn't sign for the package like you claimed I did. I take blame for not checking the package but clearly the issue is far more complicated than that now because they are defective on both driver and passenger side. The warehouse cannot open packages legally, that would be like USPS opening your box that you just dropped off at the post office before shipping it out. Jesus christ some people are fucking stupid on this forum. Regardless, CBI should have just sent what they should have sent in the first place to avoid this issue.

Whether you signed it or someone you authorized to sign its still on YOU. if you give signature authority to someone, they can legally inspect the shipment.

It is also on the vendor to ensure everything goes out the door is 100% there to avoid issues like this. Do you work for CBI or something? Seriously you sound pretty immature.

    Pot meet kettle.

Honestly this thread is ridiculous, hilarious at times, and filled with bullshit. I like to call out bullshit when I see it which of course comes off as confrontational because no one likes getting called out.

I forget about this thread until the OP responds with a story.

I'm not sure how old you are but no one I personally know uses the word "crying" that is an adult when referring to a valid complaint. I already said to you in a previous post that the point of this thread isn't to be mad at anyone, it's to steer future customers/TW members away from certain vendors that don't deserve the business to save them the headache. This thread will likely be here forever and you will also look like a douche bag forever.

    Should of bought a Supra.

Or a Raptor or Tremor those can be configured with OEM running board sliders.

I'm joking because at this point there's probably some good advice in this thread somewhere.

The warehouse is not relevant, CBI shipped out a defective product with missing hardware, case closed. Doesn't matter where it was shipped to, it matters where it came from. If your Tacoma came with missing tailgate and the headlights don't work is it your dealer's fault for ordering or the manufacturing plant that assembled your truck? There's no need for insults over a keyboard on the internet it doesn't add anything valuable to this thread, give your head a shake.
