Im looking to get around 2.5ish in the front. No weight on the truck yet. But most of the next mods I'm doing involve the rear. CBI bed rack, Roam adventure cases, bed stiffeners.

In terms of how harsh the ride is, I don't care to much. I got the wife a minivan last year so she could leave me alone. And occasionally she drives the 4Runner, so this is all for me to drive.

Sorry I cant help you there but I am a Psychologist so you and your wife can always book a couples therapy session if she wants you to work on the aspect of "lack of communication " lol. Btw, here is a picture of mine to give you an idea of what yours could look like after you are done with it. I have 265/70 17's bfg ko2's on it btw.

Also, on the 4th notch you will get about 2 1/4" up front.

    4th notch?
And I love it, I wish I could have got the gray, but I couldn't pass the deal on this. Any rubbing on those tires? CMC?

Yup....4th notch. No rubbing now but I will be upgrading to 285's very soon and I am getting spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers and a CMC. I have the welding plates from BAMF ready to go, just need to do the chop before I upgrade to the 285s

2.15 after settling. Plastidipped the wheels once every 2 years, for looks and protection from pitting

I have 285s on my 4Runner now and only have rubbing in full lock in reverse. I was thinking skinner tires on this, but still tall. MAYBE 275/70/R17. But honestly I'm still over all the place when it comes to deciding on tire size. And I've search alllll over this forum and haven't gotten closer. I considered keeping these wheels to save money, but the offset is horrible. Which may just push me to aftermarket.

Im also staying away from wheel spacers

You can always go with 275's or even some 255 skinney's.....ko2's come in 275's but 255 skinnys you most likely have to go with coopers. I know a couple of people who have 275s and they say there is no rubbing but I want to make sure I dont hit my jbas with the 285's. I was seriously considering getting skinnys though.

In terms of brand Im set on Falken Wildpeaks. Ive used everything from Toyo, Nitto, BFGs, Mickey Tompsons. And hands down, the Flakens were simply amazing in every way. Nearly as quiet as stock tires, very forgiving on bumps, beautiful traction on rocks. And snow, EPIC! plus you can't beat those prices for a 10-ply. Ive had them for around 20k miles on the 4runner and they look brand new. Just gotta figure out a size now.

Thank you for the post and for your business. At first when I saw the previous title my heart dropped. Thank you for changing it

    Matt here
The rear OME shocks have an extended length of 23.75" and the 5160 measure 24.13", so the 5160's are slightly longer.

    Matt here again
The kit you got comes with the spacers needed to drop the skid to accommodate for the diff supports being dropped. As long as you keep the skid on you should be fine. The spacers can be a pain and the holes for the skids don't like to line up with it being dropped, so be prepared to oblong the hole towards the front of the skid when doing the install.

One thing I’m noticing is my front end is all over the place on small bumps and potholes. At first I figured it was the spacer lift in the front. Another member said I could need an alinement (will be done after the new lift). But as of now it tracks straight on the highway.

With 143k miles I’m assuming bushings and tie rods are going bad?? Any ideas?

If it is the bushings and tie rods, anyone have recommendations that aren’t gonna break the bank.

The problem with UPS in my area is they aren’t very consistent. Some days they show up at 10am, other days 9pm.
