Ok so the lift is complete. I want to send a HUGE shoutout to @Gregw138. Seriously without his help the nothing would have went as plan or finished at all.

    What went on,

    Bilstein 6112
    Bilstein B110’s
OME Dakar Med duty leaf packs
    JBA Offroad upper control arms
    Outter tie rods
ECGS needle bearing and seal replacement

Unfortunately I didn’t measure before we started, I got caught up with other stuff. But I’ll get measurements today.

And holy crap those upper control arms were a PITA to get out and back in. We had to bend the sheet metal of the frame back. It’s like Toyota designed those bolts to never ever ever ever come out

Again, thanks to @Gregw138 . Came from over an hour away to help a complete stranger. And I believe that’s what Tacoma World is about. I’ll be helping when he installs his lift soon.

Entire job in front of my house on the street. Took damn near 13 hours total. Including going to Lowe’s twice to get new bolts that were seized.

So after a few days driving. Here are my thoughts.

The 6112s are amazing at speeds above 30 mph. They soak up bumps and potholes and feel smooth. BUT at low speeds they are “jumpy”. If they were firm I would understand, but they seem to jump and not settle fast enough at speeds below 20mph.

For the rear Dakars, extremely firm, which I normally wouldn’t mind (coming from a driver of many lifted vehicles). But they also have the issue of bouncing without being able to settle which should be the shocks job. Much worse than the front in terms of bounce. I’m guessing/assuming that adding some weight to the rear will fix or at least help that issue.

I will keep looking into all of this. But overall very satisfied with the kit

So another update. Been about a month. The rear springs have actually gotten better. Still firm as crap, but nothing I wasn’t expecting or don’t mind.

The fronts have settled but still feel horrible over slow bumps and potholes, actually worse than the rear Dakars. But over 25-30mph and they feel great. I thought about lowering from the 4th clip to maybe the 2nd. But I already have a 2 inch rake. And any more will look ridiculous

I have some more mods and tweaks planned in the next few weeks so I’ll update on if anything changes

Just had a brand new steering rack installed, and new lower control arms.

Finally got a proper wheel alinement.

Hey Ben, I think maybe I posted up some truck info in one of your threads. Can't remember which one though.
