I gotta ask. What is bedding the brakes. My brakes feel kinda funny as well. I dont feel like i stop very good. Kinda feels like im gliding when i hit the brakes. Dont know if that sounds strange but had to ask if bedding is something real

Its real, when your brakes are brand new you do a couple of slow and medium speed stops to get some heat in there and get them to cool off again, pretty much just don't slam on the brakes.

Just got a '15 Tacoma today. I didn't notice until the drive home in traffic, but everytime i stepped on the brake pedal i noticed a "squish" sound. Is that normal?

Mine does that too and I've seen this concern on other threads but no one could explain it. I assume its normal but would also like to know why it does that?

Yep; I got an OBDII Blue-tooth adapter maybe a year ago for a Jeep I had, and now for the Tacoma. The adapter links to an Android app (TorquePro); shows you many metrics read / calculated from the ECU; one of the metrics is MPG (instant and avg.). I like it; you can install it in your phone, or tablet. Just remember to disconnect the adapter when the car is not in use; even when motor is off, it still consumes a bit of energy, and with an old/low car battery, can cause some problems.

Oh man, thanks for the heads up. I ordered a cheap OBD sensor from Ebay AND I got in on the Ultragauge deal. I was going to run both and see which one I liked the best. Constant battery drain is a NO-NO up here in the frozen wastelands of Syracuse. Thanks for the advice.

Had a Tacoma 2006 DC LB 4x4 Base for 7 yrs, then traded it for a 2012 Highlander for the past 3 yrs (family vehicle - > 7 seats), and now I'm back with a Tacoma 2015 DC LB 4x4 SR5. Only gadget I'll miss from the Highlander were the heated mirrors (I'm from Canada; after scraping them to remove the ice in the morning, you had to readjust them almost every time...). Other than that, I couldn't care less about the MPG thing...

Just bought a 2015 4x4 Tacoma sport about 6 weeks ago and I love it! I really like the seats and radio myself. Actually love everything about it! Toyota Tacoma is the best you can buy and dang they look good!
