    Hey guys,
I’m new to the forum but I decided I should join just to see what it had to offer. I’m 16 years old turning 17 and my first car ever is my 2007 Toyota Tacoma Pre-Runner V6 SR5 that was bought new by my uncle, gifted to my dad who then modified it to its current state and gave it to me as my first car. It was originally blue ribbon metallic but was painted cavalry blue about 2 years ago. My dad installed some oem 3rd gen tacoma wheels that he bought from the local dealer and had the original radio swapped out for a kenwood DDX2. It has over 250,000 original miles and shows several signs of its age. Despite my dads attempt to make that car look “good as new” with the new paint job, I am left to repair the car after a somewhat spotty service history. So I am excited to see what information I can find on the forum that can help me in my journey to truly get the truck running as it should, and maybe even upgrade a few things along the way.AE81A310-5C11-4D06-B730-A29A9F1A425B.jpg 98E1D179-11FD-4162-BF6F-ACDDE05D0EC8.jpg D3ED350B-ADF3-4106-8514-F478FA9FA404.jpg 66434339-10D6-425A-9024-9AEF1A665CAE.jpg 59A828DC-C61B-428F-BE7F-3727E5EDC880.jpg 886B45FE-3C6D-4AF6-91F3-55CB2039DB4F.jpg A4F4F22D-2987-4B59-9847-F94ABB3E52BD.jpg

Well it certainly looks new. My first car at 16 would shift into neutral on its own when driving. When it rained my left leg would get wet because there was a hole in the floor.

Sounds like you have a truck that if you take care if youll have it for a long time.

"very poor service history" -bloody hell, that thing is mint compared to my first car. Pull the dipstick on that one and it would come back green and full of glitter. :cookiemonster:

That color looks so good on a second gen.

Looks awesome- keep it as is and drive it another 250k. Just change all the fluids and do routine maintenance. Doesn't need anything else.

Welcome to the forum :hattip: and nice looking ride!

I towed my first car home and rust fell on the driveway when I shut the door, looks like you have something a lot nicer there.

    Have a look here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/2nd-gen-tacomas-2005-2015.5/
You should be able to find a lot of the answers to your maintenance questions.
