BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
My first crash; 77 Firebird Esprit stopped at crosswalk when pedestrians clear eased on the throttle about 20 mph car turns right, spins me backwards facing northbound in southbound... well, sidewalk at this point and slams the windshield, passenger door, dash and foot well into the center console. I was young and just figured I'd eat it but amazingly the Judge determined a pothole in the road (I didn't know anything about thankfully with the pics I took) caused the accident ( I want to thank Him, again) The good ole days I call 'em.

Well if you were getting a bull bar, I don't think the plate bumpers are that much more depending on brand.

It is similar to this, about $150. Yeah it's all looks, for that price I don't expect much more.

Oh dang 150? I saw one that was like 700 bucks. I change my mind, those are way cheaper. Those are really big in the east. I never saw them in Cali. But once I moved here, I see them at every corner.

Yeah, Amazon special. I'm from Iowa so everyone around here is either Ram, Ford, or Chevy, with dual exhaust for DAYS I SWEAR.

The reason they cause so much damage is because they mount so low then in a collision the top end is bent right into the grille and radiator or whatever else is in the way. Theres nothing supporting that whole top end.

As far as a "plate" bumper, its referred as that simply because is made from "plate" steel. Then theres tube bumpers...you guessed it, made from tubing!!

dont know if this was said already or not, but i didnt have time to read all 4 pages....

but next time you are sliding like that, dont keep the foot on the brake. let off until you gain traction and then apply again just not so firm. :)

Stones River Rd.? Gotta' be the Murfreesboro area. I'm sure everywhere's the same but you go to be really careful here after a few days of blazing sun and you get a light rain. Road film and light rain are a bad combination.

Ok so I finally got time to pull the code from the check engine light. It read PO420 which is likely an O2 sensor or the Cat Converter. The guy at auto zone was immediately trying to get me to buy some magnaflow converter but I'm not 100% convinced that's the problem.

Before the trip over here, when I first bought the truck, I got another check engine light code that read something about the MAF sensor and/or O2 sensor. But all I did was change the air filter and the code disapeared for a few months until now.

I'm hoping I can replace my air filter again and that's the only problem, but the air filter isn't exactly "filthy". I just hope I don't have to drop a couple hundred bucks for a cat converter.

And on another note, if you read all that and are still willing to help, THEN I GIVE YOU... (drum roll please)... A FLIPPED TACO!! My friend in California flipped it in the desert 3 times. The two people in it didn't get hurt.
