Today I was driving to get some breakfast, and make a stop at Lowes. I pulled up to a stop light and my truck started shaking at idle, and making this loud grunting sound. I'm almost positive the problem will not show up on my OBD2 readers, because it was a 66 Nova with spinners and a horrible sound system in my blind-spot waiting to turn left. The guy had a potential gem of a vehicle, but he went patina on the paint, the headliner was hanging down, and the dash looked like a McDonalds version of an Amazon delivery vehicle (some will get this reference). Down here in the south our vehicles are influenced buy a generation consumed with 24" rims, the rear end of their trucks dragging like they broke the axle, exploding exhausts, and peoples sub cabinets have the exacting resonance of a Craftsman Tool box.

In difference to the people like the one who created the Tacoma's short lived issues, my to criteria for a sound system, my outwardly and inwardly approach to my presentation is drastically different then the current generation (as has been said by every older generation of those younger than them). The outside of my 23 Kia Soul GT Line is factory, and will remain so. The factory stereo is amazing and I won't be touching it. My 02 Tacoma is factory outside, save a small lift introduced by the previous owner. I will be replacing the factory bumper, not because I'm a d'r hunt'n Bubba Jr Cletus (even though I am), or that I'm some crazy 4x2 4 wheeler. Rather because we have these 4 legged things about the size dogs that like to stare themselves into your headlights called d'r (deer), and I want at least my truck to have all it's teef (teeth) even if I don't. My take on a stereo solution for my Mini Super Max Awesome Machine (Tacoma) is an ATOTO A6 PF head with backup camera and nav, a SKAR RP 350 1D, two SKAR TX68 door speakers, and one SKAR VD-10 Sub. It really is the redneck high end version of a starter stereo.

NARP - It says, start a conversation. So my attempt was to do so with humor.

Well thank you, which was hard to say with my tongue buried so deep in my cheek.

The problem seemed to resolve itself as the Nova made his turn left.

My wife of almost 39 years might argue the sense of humor statement, but that's a fight you two can duke out.

I have the attention span of a Nat, and the wit of owl vomit, and since books seem to be so passe, I'd have to learn how to blog, or act like an ADHD teenager on Crack waving their hands around at the camera begging for likes, clicks and bell rings. Not a lifelong pursuit or aspiration.

The Nova was real, and I wanted it. It did not have spinners, no visible trash, and the stereo was just fine, but none of that feeds my narrative. My GT Line, and Tacoma stereo's also real.

Increasingly it seems sense of humor might be one the topics also not allowed to be discussed?

Since I was asked if there was a question cleverly hidden in my post, I ask only this: what is the average airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow driving a Gen 1 Tacoma?

    African or European swallow?

And since (I’m assuming) the steering wheel has no husk, how would it grip the wheel at all?

Maybe a call to Mayflower will help with your relocation? Because staying in that nasty place has to be tragic.

deference I think is the word you are looking for.

Many bloggers/Tubers/influencer wannabe types either select the wrong words, can't spell or don't proof their work. Be better.

You won't get more clicks, but your 8th grade English teacher will be proud of you.

Thank you. It's nice to sample a bit of sanity among so much anger and resentment. I've tried to both contribute with my Gen 1 sub and storage cabinet design, to interject a 'little' humor, but they seem to have both fallen flat. After 30 years on the internet I was kind of hoping the "Oh yeah, this is you" was behind us.

This is an insult to Craftsman toolboxes. :p

Heh. They're everywhere. Most of them still live with their moms. :p
