Okay, well not new truck - but new to me. First post and new to the forum here. Lot's of great stuff here, I look forward to hanging around and reading up on this amazing truck.

I just purchased a 2006 Tacoma Pre Runner Access Cab TRD. I must admit I'm still a little confused about the Sport/SR5/TRD packages. I have a 4 Runner that is a SR5 4x4.

Can anyone point me to a link showing the differences?? What does the Sport and SR5 package add to a Tacoma?? I didn't know SR5 even applied to 2nd Gen Tacomas...

Hey! Hi! How are ya? :)

Bought a Tacoma because my city decided plowing streets after big snowfalls was optional. It's my first truck & I LOVE IT! Found TW because of the damn blower motor squeak. Enjoyed the info, banter & laughs; been stuck here since.

I posted an intro thread, but it hasn't shown up. I'm assuming it's waiting mod approval...

I put a deposit by phone this morning on a double cab manual TRD Sport with trail teams package, and I'll be picking it up...on April 7. *grumble-grumble-grump* The suspense is going to kill me, but it gives me a chance to put the Mustang I'm trading in back to stock, so I can sell the Mustang goodies and use the money to order my Tacoma goodies...if I don't explode in the mean time...

I'm pumped to get home and get myself a Tacoma. I'm up on the Bering sea right now doing some opiolio crabbing and making some $ but still got like 1.5 million more to catch. Ugh! Any who I've been doing research on Tacoma for months now and have decided on a MGM dc lb 4x4. I just had myself a son and em planning on needing space for family adventures. I've already made a list of upgrades and mods
First got to get a sunroof installed by coach automotive restyling in Beaverton. It's way too sIck to pass up. Then a rock crusher demello slider (weld) for protection and ease of women and child. Black wheels (still deciding) and fitting tires. And the list goes on but that first. I'm just pumped there is a form like this Everytime I googled something it would show Tacoma world and this forum just plan and simple gets it done. I'm proud to be apart of such a knowledgable community. I send pics of my taco once I done with this never ending crab season.

Hello all! I am a new member and jumping the gun a little bit. I plan to purchase my first vehicle, the '12 tacoma sport in the next few weeks. I'm sure I'll have questions pretty quickly. I'm planning on doing a lift / tire / wheel combo mod right away!

    Hello,

I'm new to TacomaWorld and look forward to meeting many of my fellow Tacoma owners through this forum. I like to think of myself as a self-made man; someone who can figure out anything. But I have to admit I have a problem that I need your help with. The link below will explain the problem I'm having with my '08 PreRunner DBL-Cab TRD

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/218567-noah-needs-help-flood.html#post5045760

I'll take any and all advice/ comments (yes, I know this statement opens Pandora's box).

    HELP!

    Best Regards,

    Noah

As y'all are getting lots of new members weekly, I'll keep it brief...Had my 09 Taco since she was a baby (so, since 2009 in the interest of clarity). Been lurking for the past 2 months trying to decide what I finally wanted done. Thanks for all your help already and looking forward to loving this truck til the wheels fall off.

I'm on my fourth Toyota and my third Tacoma and they have all been exceptionally well made vehicles.I did own a Matrix and even though it was all wheel drive and fun to drive here in Minnesota you need more then four inches of ground clearence or your going to be spending the night in a snow drift.

Good to be here! Got a 99 Tacoma 4WD, 109K on the clock, bone stock. Looking to get ideas and meet some local wrenching/wheeling buddies. I'd like to start with getting rid of my CEL for the #2 knock sensor and changing the timing belt. All great stuff, but I just found out that "my" fave garage (Ft. Sam Houston Auto Skills Center) is now CLOSED, which means I've got to go to Randolph/Lackland or do it all in an apartment parking lot (but I'm pretty sure they frown upon that here)! We'll see. Otherwise, this is a great site with lots of good knowledge so I'm looking forward to upgrading my previously-neglected Tacoma!

Yea im a newbie first posting. Ordered a Tacoma SR5 2012 Super White Access V6 4x4 6-Speed Manual with tow package from Big Two Chandler AZ. Its being built in San Antonio Texas. Ordered it over two weeks ago and it wont be delivered until 6/14. Sales guy says they only build maybe 300 of these manuals a year. Its considered a unicorn.
