My first new vehicle (Longest INTRO thread)

i just signed up for this cause i think i can find handy info here. I'm heading home monday to look at tacoma a dealer is holding for me.i have always wanted a tacoma, i bought a new colorado in 08 just was not up to par so this time around i want to do it right the rig im looking at is a 2005 trd off road sr5 access cab 4.0 six speed. let me know your thoughts pros cons problems that year...

 

Welp, I bought my first taco today. '12 Prerunner DCSB SR5 paid 26k flat OTD. MSRP was 29072.

Ive bought a dozen new trucks. I bought a Tacoma 7 years ago. Best i ever had. Wish i got the 4wd. next week I'll have a new one.

I too am new here so I will post the obvious question.......Love the TACO but the last one I owned was a 1991 and a 1982 before that....been driving Z71 since the kids got big and now am ready to move back to TACO.....Long over due....Looking at ideas of what guys are doing to the trucks today...Enjoy the forum and looking foward to having a few cold ones while I read about the trucks.

 

nice to see so many people in love with their Tacomas. i hope i can learn some stuff from you guys. i just bought my sister's '04 4 speed Tacoma, it's great. found this website to be filled with great info and what mods people are doin' to their trucks. figured it was about time i joined the club.

 

So - new to the forum but thought I had to join. Son has a toy (corolla) wife has a toy (limited 4runner) and i finally joined them. Just got a 2012 Tacoma 4x4 in preparation for winter. My summers have been great in a mustang gt convertible but it's a pig on ice and snow. Can't wait for the white stuff.

 

Just do it- don't look back - you won't regret it.

Sooooo, I let my ex drive my 1993 T100 for the summer whilst I was in AK. She saw fit to never check the oil and when I returned there was a peculiar knock coming from the lower end...HMMMMM! She (the truck) belonged to my late little brother so I was pretty attached to it to say the least. Just unloaded it to someone who has more time that I do to mess with it. Pretty bummed to let it go, especially for such a low price but it did have 287,300 miles on it!
Now I'm waiting to pick up my 2013 DBL cab 4x4 TRD Sport, so I got that going for me! It's being built in B.C. Canada. I get it in mid-October, I'm jonesing a little bit....

Just bought my first Taco. 2012 Nautical Blue DCSB 4x4 Sport. I love it.

 

Bought my 2012 dc trd or about 3 months ago and am loving it. Glad to have joined the tacoma world, I feel as if i will be spending way more money on my truck then i need to because of this site.

Thats an understatement...lol....this site has already cost me thousands...but they're all great upgrades....wouldn't change anything....there are tons of great knowledgable members on here....i've learned alot. Enjoy your truck and your time here.
