Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.

Only wheels and tires... For now... Muahahaha!!!
Hey everyone, just picked up my first toyota a couple months ago. I've had GM trucks my whole life and grew sick of all the corners cut to make em cheap. So I took to craigslist and started looking for my first Taco. I found an 02' Xtra- cab TRD... only problem, she's got 200k miles on her. 203k now, so any info on what I can do to take her to a mil would be appreciated. Im on the Rx7 club forum as well under the same user name, so any other rotorheads out there, hit me up!

Your truck has the 3.4 Liter V6 engine, Toyota recommends that the timing belt in this motor be replaced at 90,000 miles. Also replace the water pump and the front oil seal while you're at it, because the water pump and seal are located under the timing belt cover and should keep you from having to make the same tear -down again Other items to look at are: the plugs and plug wires, air filter and oil filter. NGK is the brand to look for in plugs and plug wires, Toyota in air and oil filters. I had a '02 and wish I had not lost it like I did when I totaled it in crash. It was paid for and hard to replace.Good luck with your truck.;)

Hello to all. First time post in the Tacoma World. I must admit that the truck builds that all the Californians have posted is what caught my attention and increased my jealousy. I hope to learn a lot and start (most importantly, finish) some cool projects on my 05' Tacoma Prerunner.

New to the forum as well, this seems to be the official say hello spot. Have an '01 Super White Xtra SR5 4 banger with a Manual tranny, no mods on her, that I bought brand new all those years ago while in college. Tonya has been a great amazingly reliable little truck couldn't ask for more but do look forward to getting her eventual bigger badder brother. Those TRD Sport Pre-Runners in white sure do look nice. :)

It looks pretty sweet so far. I'm glad we both lost our new car virginity to Tacomas haha. Look forward to seeing how your truck turns out.

So stoked to have finally purchased a Tacoma. 2009 DCLB Trd sport with roof racks and shell. Low milage (around 34k)... found some hipster that never used it for anything fun or worthwhile. Hoping to give this truck the opportunities it DESERVES! Any suggestions on suspension lifts, tires, or engine mods would be great.

I Have a 2009 also, it is a Pre-Runner in the Double Cab size with SR5 V6 AT and all the buttons. Tacomas are great trucks. I'm on the third one, love it.

    My first Tacoma. 2012 SR5 DoubleCab. Lifted (3") with Fox coilovers, add-a-leaf rear/bilsteins. 18" wheels/34" nittos.

Overall it's a great truck so far (Colorado). After owning it about 6 months, I'm a little surprised at some of Toyota's design decisions (radio/rear drums??????/headlamps).

Not only is this my first Tacoma, but it is my first Toyota and I'm 56. So far I really love this truck, 2013 TRD Sport Double Cab 4WD. It's big enough for my needs and fits in my garage. I'm also very impressed with my dealer, Charles Barker Toyota in Virginia Beach. They were a pleasure to work with on the sale and I expect the same on service. I'm not planning any major modifications, I'm not a serious off-roader like a lot of owners, but it's nice to have 4WD if I need it. I did purchase a bed mat, cargo divider, and bed cover, all of which are making the truck very user friendly for me. For you new owners, I would recommend checking out Flyzeye designs for some cool and inexpensive interior lighting options.
