The fact that your old one is a regular cab and a V6 makes it a somewhat unusual and difficult Tacoma to find. I wish I was closer, I would be interested.

Just joined yesterday. I have a 2005 Rav4, a 1991 Dodge Dakota, and a 2008 Kawasaki Concours 1400. At some point in the next few years I'll be consolidating into a 4wd Tacoma with the exception of the bike. I don't need a big truck and the only two out there selling the mid-size vehicles are Toyota and Nissan. I'm not a fan of Nissan and I've been a Toyota person for many years in non-truck vehicles. I like my Dakota but it's starting to show it's age a bit. My friend has a 4wd Tacoma and I like their looks and he's had good service with it (no issues). I have to have 4wd as my wife has to get to work when it snows. The Rav has been very good in that regard. I joined because I wanted to start learning more about the Tacoma.

Not that it matters, but Chevy and GMS also make midsized trucks. They reintroduced the Colorado and Canyon in 2015. While they are a total improvement from the 1st gen I think Toyota's spot on top is safe.

I didn't know that GM was making mid-sized trucks again. Thanks for the information, not that it matters as I wouldn't touch one of those with a 10ft pole. Never liked GM products. I'm sticking with Toyota. I've owned Ford trucks in the past but would not buy those either.

Yeah to do rotors on a Colorado took 8 hrs. Have to take abs sensor off and pop the whole hub wheel bearing assembly off. Needless to say it was my last straw with that truck.

    All stock baby!
Joined today. I've been reading this forum for quite a while and been thinking of going over to a 16 from my 08 for no reason other than I like some of the new bells and whistle's. I got to say though, after reading everything and getting syc'd up about this truck for a year it's pretty weak that 6 months into the model year it seems like getting one of these is like ordering a pink Z06 that reads "Pussywagon" on it. I love my taco, but what's going on with the no stock and hard to find models (and I mean by that, basic models modestly equipped)? There's not even that many options! Christ, I live in Texas in a large city and it's comical just trying to see one equipped relatively the way you want (very few TRD OR 4X4's with P/T). As we all know the taco is awesome (trucks are neat too) but still, it is just a stock mass-produced vehicle. Does anyone else think this is kind a silly for this vehicle. I never had a problem before just going to the lot and seeing some inventory. I've also worked in the car business (several manufacturers) when I was younger and never saw availability issues with a new model especially when they hype it up so much the previous year. Seriously considering waiting for 17' so they can get some inventory and to maybe have the hood adhesive issue solved on the OR's or maybe they make small change (like the grill options). Hmm. Sorry don't mean to sound negative on day one here but it is a bit frustrating how Toyota seems to be handling this roll out of Gen 3.

Hey tacomaworld! I got my first new Tacoma on March 1st, I ordered it in November, but due to my constraints and location ( TRD 4x4 6 speed manual ) i had to special order mine. I am in love with it, everything I've ever wanted and have been waiting since I got my first Toyota pickup 10 years ago. I've taken her out a couple times already and she has done great, can't wait to start doing modifications to it. Anyways here are some pictures of the rig so far, hope you like it as much as I do and i'm happy to have joined this community! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] That last pic is a bonus of my parents rigs with mine, I was comparing grills of the 2015/2016 Tacoma
