Hello everyone!

Loved Toyota trucks since I first laid eyes on a charcoal gray 4x4 in 1984. Finally got one in 2004 when I bought a 1989 X-tra Cab 4x4 (yes, it was gray) to use hunting. Kept that truck about 3yrs & sold it due to kids & other financial obligations. I've wanted another Toyota 4x4 since the day it left and last week I finally got back in the family! 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport DCLB. I absolutely love this truck and look forward to exploring all the mods available to dress it up!

My first Taco. All stock for now. Already used TW to fix the compass/temp gauge and am planning on doing a couple of the light mods.

 

Hey yall! Southaven, MS here. New to TW and new to toyota! My first ever new truck white 2017 Limited. Left a 2002 Ford F150 that I have had since high school. Happy 30th birthday/Merry Christmas to me! Loving the truck so far. Have really enjoyed exploring the forum so far. TW had a big part in helping make my decision to buy this truck!

 

Congrats on the new truck and welcome to TW. Oct 7th, I took possession of a 2017 Limited as well, in white. I tinted the front windows to match the rear glass, changed the interior lighting to LEDs and a K&N air filter. This is the second new vehicle I have purchased new, the first was an 87 Toyota pickup.

 

Hi all. Been away from the family for a long, long time. My 1992 Toyota took me all the way to 2008 with 350,000 miles. Since then I went to another four letter truck that shall remain nameless until now. A lot of vacillating over which one to get, going between brands, I felt Toyota has always been a great truck. So I bit the bullet and wrote the check. Actually wife wrote it, I was too giddy.

New Taco owner here as well. I received by TRD Pro back in end of July 2016. Apparently it was one of the first ones to be delivered here in SoCal.
Love this truck and I'm glad to be a part of fellow enthusiast. Now,...to the mods section!

 

New Tacoma owner as well. Just bought the 2017 Tacoma trd pro in 6 speed manual. No pics yet, all the mods are sitting in my garage until my trd pro is delivered. Should be here this week! So anxious to finally drive it. Besides the current mods I bought, I want to change all interior lights to LED, new tires, maybe lift. I definitely want to modify the vehicle performance, but am having trouble finding good quality parts. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Not sure who I'm replying too, but I live in the south too...South Dakota that is. An interesting side conversation for later.

 

Signing up to be a member at TW was a must after skimming though posts for the past couple of months. I just picked up my first Taco and I couldn't be happier. It's parked right out front of my house and I can see it from my bedroom window. 4 banger prerunner with only 146k miles. I might take my family out to Big Bear for New Year's Eve weekend. How would a 2wd Taco do out in Cali snow?

 

Just purchased a 2013 Tacoma TRD Sport. Really happy to own it. Im here to get ideas on some mods that I would like to do... I would like to start with some TRD PRO Rims and a small lift. I am a huge fan of the 'Stock and Mean" look.

 

I'm new! I dunno what to do! Bought a taco for Christmas actually Christmas Eve, just put a 3" Revtech leveling kit on this weekend what a breeze. Buying new tires in a couple weeks gonna run stockers w/ 265/75/16 mxt's or ko's just making my tacomaworld debut, so far here's a before and after w/ 3" leveling

 

Just cleared the first snow off the truck, fresh from a whirlwind trip (LA to Den) to get 'her', a mere three days ago!! Will see if the pronoun fits in the next few weeks!

In the meantime, 'the truck' will do, as 'she' is my third taco in a line of lt trucks. So thrilled to have the new beast, and def. worth a four state trek (gave up my 7 month earned top spot at local dealer) to speed up the process. This girl has a throaty growl, and the MT is pretty sweet and responsive.

The 'plan': take a good solid foundation truck and mod for general off-roading and camping extravaganzas, incl. rooftop tent, pack rack and gear slide (take advantage of the GB if possible!!), and enjoy all that tacos have to offer! Much thanks to the TW family for the re-add! Love to see what the hardcore crawlers are doing, and learn from the great crew here. Let's go places!

 

I just saw your post here. I went from a Ford to a Toyota as well a few days before you did. Went from a 2001 Ranger and haven't looked back!

My Ranger literally fell apart...many issues all at once (i.e. Head gaskets leaking and needed replaced, blown oil pan gasket, radiator going out, etc...).

Traded in my 2009 subaru wrx for a 2016 TRD OR. Not sure what took so long. I've been using cars as trucks for years!

 

Just bought my first new vehicle and my first Toyota. It's a 2016 Tacoma 4x4 and I am loving the truck.
