My first new vehicle (Longest INTRO thread)

I just purchased my first Tacoma ever! I've always been in love the brand. I welcome you my 2016 Quicksand TRD Offroad.

 

Powerprozeus this is my old truck!!! Just traded it in at Bill Penney a couple of weeks ago!! Upgraded to the 2017 Trd Pro Cement

 

Just traded my 2016 Tacoma Quicksand 4x4 Off Road in on the 2017 TRD Pro in Cement A/t. Since i've picked it up i added some BFG KO 2's 265/75/R16 love the way they look on it.

 

What a small world after all! Haha Thank you for having an awesome truck that Leer shell makes one hell of a difference!

 

Yeah that Leer shell is awesome!! Gives you a ton of dry storage if needed, the LED light bar and the net mounted to the interior roof is handy also. Loved this truck, it was babied and always garage kept i took good care of her for you!!!

 

I will continue to baby just as you did already moved my TC out of the garage to make room for this one. So thank you for taking good care of it. Yea I just stumbled upon the LED bar in the back yesterday. I was like Holy hell this is awesome. lol It's perfect for what I need and to transport my pups which thanks for the complimentary vet leash. Haha I found it in the storage compartment.

 

Yeah the glass in the back is removable so you can slide open the rear glass. The side vents will also open and close a few inches with the twist handles. The screens on the side glass pieces will also remove so your dogs can stick their noses out. Sorry i had to take the bed mat and the all season floor mats for the new truck. I ran Mobil 1 Full synthetic 0w-20 for the first 2 oil changes.

 

Good to know that's all I've ever ran is Mobil 1 Full Synthetic in my previous car. Sweet I'll definitely have to check that out my dogs will love it. Hey man its no problem they included some new mats for me before I purchased it, I'm going to wait for the mat on Amazon where its cheaper than the dealer.

 

Good deal and yeah my dog loved riding in the back and the extra dry storage is awesome! You got a good one for sure, hope she treats you well!!

 

Me too! I'll get my use out of her for the years to come, she may get a few upgrades along the way, but she'll have that OEM look as always.

Hey everyone I'm picking up my 2017 Taco off road in 6 speed manual this week. I have read plenty of threads on here, anything I should know from the start being a new owner?

 

Hello everyone, first post here. Just got a 2017 Off-road. Had it back to the dealer for a slight lift, and some rims/ tires. In the future looking to put a topper, some lights, and a roof top tent.
The first two are from this morning, and the last one was tonight.

Traded in my 2002 TRD Off Road for the 2017 TRD Pro - Bittersweet, but it was time for the upgrade.

 

What dealership did you get your Taco at? I was just in Birmingham yesterday trading in my 2nd gen TRD SPORT DCSB Prerunner for a new 3rd gen TRD ORDCSB 4WD. The tornado hit while I was there. I live in Harvest Al. The guy with the Pro from Huntsville would probably know where that is. I'm pretty sure I've seen his Taco around.

 

I purchased it at Bill Penney Toyota in Huntsville. Yeah that tornado was crazy I could see it from a distance forming before it made its way into Fairfield.

 

That's Funny man you live in the Birmingham area and you came to Huntsville to buy your truck and I live in the Madison /Huntsville area and I came to Birmingham to buy mine. I've purchased two Tacomas at two different Birmingham dealerships. I Purchased the first one at Hoover Toyota and the second one at Limbaugh Toyota I had a good buying experience at both dealerships though I have to say the tax is a little lower at Limbaugh Toyota and they really gave me a spectacular deal

 

Haha this is true, that Leer shell sold me though reason I drove to Huntsville to buy it. lol Yea Limbaugh is great I looked there first before I started looking outside Birmingham. Hoover is a great dealership but that tax can sneak up on you. I feel they're overpriced than most dealerships in the area just because where they're located just a higher buyer market in my opinion.

 

Yeah I used to live between the Harvest/Toney area so definitely know it can get kind of hairy anytime a tornado comes thru. And yeah the guy i bought the truck from put that Leer shell on and about a month later sold the truck to me, I think he said he paid like $2900 bucks for that thing maybe with the installation and the LED light bar.
