    None yet, but wait!
Same, more or less; wife and I also own a Scion. That Xb convinced me, along with all the folks we know who drive a Taco, that this was the logical choice. Plus, certified pre-owned with only 10k miles? It's a no brainer!

am Pro grille w/lights, black tailgate letters, black badging, 265-70-17 Duratrac "c", Rear seat platform,
I bought my first Toyota, a 1983 Celica GTS coupe, in 1987. One month later as I started my first position as a Toyota parts manager I bought a 1982 Toyota SR5, 4WD "truck" (as it was simply called then) with the old 22R carburated engine and a 5spd manual. That old truck never let me down for the 13 years I owned it. I was a parts manager for Chevrolet for several years before switching back to Toyota in 2004. In 2017 I came upon a deal I couldn't pass so I replaced my two older Chevys and picked up a 2011 Taco work truck, std cab, long bed, 4x4, with 80K miles, partially because it reminded me of my 1982 Toyota truck. As I've gotten older I now realize I missed having some of the options that are standard on most other vehicles. Last week, after 20 months and 12K more miles in the stripped out work truck, I bit the bullet and traded in my 2011 for this 2017 4WD TRD Sport, Acc cab, 3.5L, 6spd atm in "Inferno" with 20K miles. What a huge difference! Love this truck! I'll probably have this one for another 10+ years!
I didn't have much of an urge to do any customizing to the work truck as somehow I knew in the back of my mind that it was only an "in between" vehicle. Now that I finally have the truck I actually wanted I look forward to making it my own. I love the DIY mods posted in these forums. I look forward to learning a lot here. :)

Hey there! I'm a little late to the party to join this site. Been the proud owner of a 2017 TRD 4x4 Tacoma since for 2 years now. Looking to add some new accessories in the coming months from a topper, roof rack, rear bumper, decals, and whatever other ideas pop in my head.

Looking forward to browsing forums to get some sweet ideas from y'all!!

    Aloha from Oahu, HI
Just purchased my Black 2018 Tacoma TRD Off Road Manual (MARCY) in March and so far I’m loving everything about it! So far the things I’ve done was Tint 5% all around, 35% on my windshield, thule sports rack, MBRP short exhaust, TRD Pro rims matte black, KO2 Tires.
All I got to says is my family loves it, there ain’t much place to wheeling at but when we do my kids love it, did some camping and fishing trips with her and we’re loving every bit of it. Planning on taking to to another island of Hawaii to add to the adventures!
Been reading threads and basic tips before I even bought the truck but I’m loving it family is loving it, no regrets just wish I bought it sooner! 8B6EF572-F2A8-41B4-BAA5-BAFFD0C0252A.jpg

    Hello World!

Just signed a the paperwork for my first brand new vehicle - got a sweet deal on a 2019 TRD Off Road double cab long bed in cement. I've been dreaming of this truck for a couple years. So stoked to finally be there.

TRD Sport decals and dealer pinstripes removed, black reflective tailgate letter inserts added, Leer 122 with full length windows topper, bronze TRD fake beadlock style wheels with raised white letter tires, and personalized tags (TYNEMO) - he is my TOY truck afterall!
Finally got the chance to join your forum so I can say THANKS!!! for all I've read here. Actually bought my new baby in June but wanted to get everything I had in my head done before joining. I thought quicksand was the most disgusting color I had ever seen the first time I saw one. But then I saw one WITHOUT those red sport decals and realized I like the color by itself. thanks to you guys, I had the courage to commit to removing those decals before I decided to dive in and get the 4WD I've always wanted. (Traded my pretty army green Subie in to get him) Good thing I was prepared to remove decals because the other dealer had installed pinstripes too. EEEWWWW!!! The topper you see here is actually the second one I bought. The first was a good looking mid-rise cap, but the front tiltwindow looked like a drunken gorilla and had assembled and installed it and ALL the windows leaked. Don't buy a Jeraco cap! So I spent a couple hundred more and got the big boy - Leer 122. Don't know if we'll ever get to use it for camping but wanted to be prepared just in case. And I think it gives the 3rd Gen truck just the right amount of "chubby chunky" to make it look as close as possible to the 1st Gen I'd rather have. Oh well, my little plain jane regular cab 2WD 4cyl 2002 is still a damn good little truck after 185,000 miles. Still has the original clutch too! My new one is a boring automatic but you never know when old age or injury will make it impossible to drive a clutch so I opted for the AT. I can still drive the 02 if I want to play with the mixing stick and maybe someday we'll get the Scrambler back on the road....
Anyway, this truck's name is a nod to my mother and her description of my first car (73 Nova SS that would chirp 2nd - tagged MYTEMO) as a toy car. The Subie was practical and functional, but not really me. This iteration of MO suits me much better than the Outback. He's got far more potential for fun.....
Hope it's OK to have been peaking in your clubhouse windows... I learn something every time I'm here and really enjoy reading about the fun you youngens have with your trucks!! Thanks for everything!!!

Greetings Tacoma World! I'm new to Tacoma world, although I've been using TW to gather information about tacos for at least a year. It's about time I start being an active contributing member. I'm born and raised in BC. Just moved West of PG from VIC originally. Hopefully I'll connect with some local heroes.

    Eh it's another CANADIAN!

    Greetings Tacoma World Community!
I was a member here in 2009 to 2011, but my emails have changed since then so I lost my info. I'm not new to tacomas, I bought a 2008 model in red, a 2011 in black and a 2013 in silver, which I traded in '17 for a Ford Raptor and traded the raptor in for an '17 explorer sport which I just traded in for a '19 Tacoma TRD Pro. I realized after the raptor that I'm a small/mid size truck guy and those other brands dont excite me.
I got the explorer to haul my kids and their friends around in .. then realized, I just cant live without a Tacoma anymore. Figured I'd get this last one ... keep it until it falls apart...
Great to be back in a Tacoma guys.
