My first new vehicle (Longest INTRO thread)

Hello! I just got my very 1st Tacoma a week ago and I'm in love every time I see it. Love reading threads around here and learning more.

 

Just got my new Tacoma home the other night. 2022 trd off road in super white.

 

I've been reading and browsing here since May 2021 but didn't bother to create account until today.
I ordered my 2021 Tacoma TRD Off Road 6MT back in December 6 of 2020 and it arrived in March 19 where I went to pick it up at Karl Malone Toyota. Was the longest felt wait in my life but my life changed for the better after I drove it out!

 

Took me three weeks, but I found (what seemed to be) the only TRD OR with a long bed in the state of Georgia! Got her on the 10th, and have already gone on the Georgia Traverse, camping, and hunting. What an amazing machine!

Finally getting around to posting instead of just lurking.... Have had my newest (2019) Tacoma for almost a month now still miss my 1st gen but do far this one does ok! Hopefully will get to start a build thread once the wife gets over the sticker shock of vehicles and parts these days.

After 4 plus years in a Chevy Colorado I just bought my second Tacoma yesterday. A little back story. My first truck in the early 90s was a two tone Dodge Dakota. I did like that truck and it served me well. I bought my first Tacoma in 2004 and gave it to my nephew in 2017 when I bought the Colorado. He promptly totaled it. I was on the wait list for the new Bronco, but decided Ford is a mess and the Tacoma was the best vehicle I've owned. So, I came back. The new vehicle looks great and I've gotten several compliments in the one day I've had it. It's great to be back!

I'm here to gather information and ask for opinions on a Tacoma purchase. I don't have very much vehicle knowledge, and I'm somewhat illiterate with what steps to take for a purchase of this nature.

I am in the USAF, and I'm trying to buy a truck with borrowed money like a real grownup for the first time, all other vehicles were purchased outright. I no longer own anything after a car crash that should have seen me dead a year and some change ago.

It's my birthday!

 

Proud owner of a 2019 TRD Sport. Couldn't find a new TRD anywhere and this popped up. I use it a lot on the road for work, carry tools etc. I'd like to personalize it. So I'm here to see what's available and see what others have done. And where to buy also.

 

When I turned 16, my dad gave me the ‘05 Tacoma to drive as I finished high school and college. Now, since she’s 17 y/o, has close to 173K miles, and I’ll be driving all over the US here in the next 6 months, I decided it was time for a vehicle change… to a new Tacoma!

My 2022 Super White TRD Off-Road was in the first shipment to my dealership this year and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!

I’m new here as well… I didn’t make an account here until earlier today, though I’ve driven a Taco for the entirety of my driving career. Looking forward to seeing how everyone mods their Tacos and I can’t wait to make some changes on my own truck too!

 

Looks similar to the SR5 4x4 I am expecting early February. Enjoy!
