My first new vehicle (Longest INTRO thread)

Joined the club in early October with a ‘22 SR5. Like many the Tacoma was my dream truck.
No off-roading plans but looking forward to modding it enough to empress all the blue hairs at the grocery store ans Home Depot.

Long time lurker and first time poster here. After 12 years daily driving (and occasionally off-roading) a 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited I've finally made the inevitable jump to a Tacoma. I'm awaiting the delivery of a '23 TRD OR LB. I'm glad I found this forum ahead of time because it's already been extremely helpful! Thank you to all the great people on here who share their research and work! I look forward to contributing!

My first post. I’ve been reading for a while but didn’t sign up until now. Looking forward to borrowing information from everyone’s experience. 2020 TRD OR completely stock so far.
I am interested in upgrading headlights. Several posts dedicated to that. After joining I tried to post questions to one and it said I had to be a member for 90 days before I could post?? Seems weird…did I do something wrong? I’m looking forward to interacting with all you cool cats and kittens.

My name is Levi. I’m currently awaiting delivery for my 2023 Lunar Rock TRD OR DCSB A/T. It should be coming in this week or next, they started building on 10/23. I’m super excited and can’t wait to see it. This will be my first new vehicle purchase so I’m excited and nervous all at the same time. With current interest rates I’m really hoping for the best at the dealership when I go to settle all the paperwork/numbers out.

I adore my Tacoma. I've had it for a month. I just bought my first new car, and it's a Toyota.

Hey folks! Somewhat long-time lurker, but I'm a first-time poster. I just bought this 2019 TRD Pro nearly a month ago, and she's the newest (and most expensive!) vehicle I've ever owned. I'm a proud papa! I previously owned a '99 4Runner SR5 4x4 (w/ sunroof and Toyota dealer-installed supercharger!) and a 2006 Tacoma SR5 (I think?) 4x4. My neighbor across the street is a childhood friend, a certified mechanic, and also a new member of the Taco Mafia, and we're both plotting the mods we're gonna "invest" in / blow our savings on. Here's to the journey!

 

Hey guys. Thought i'd finally create an account after 2+ years or lurking and reading. Here is my 2014 Prerunner that I daily and use a ton for camping. Don't have the RTT + other gear on the truck right now but thought I would share anyways. Stoked to be here and finally have created an account!

I know that first post is old, but I relate. My '23 Taco is also my first ever brand new vehicle I've owned.... and I also have grown accustomed to driving 20+ yr old vehicles. One can get used to driving a new vehicle!

I attached a few pics if you recognize this front bumper lemme know - AP skid plate but I cant figure out who made the bumper.

thank you@ - I was not able to find it. that's what tripped me up - I saw that plate as separate

 

New Tacoma owner here. Just picked up a 2021 TRD Off Road 6MT (DCSB, Cement) about 10 days ago. Discovered it already has the Kicker DS speakers in the front doors, so I got that going for me. Coming from a 2005 Infiniti G35 6MT coupe that I’ve daily driven for 15 years, so it’s a bit different.

Already ordered a bedlight kit and locking tailgate kit from Toyota (got free shipping). Ordered it from the waiting room at my local dealer while I waited for my phone heater to be replaced under warranty. They wanted full msrp for the parts. Found a dealer online for $50 cheaper.

I was surprised to find an active forum in today’s world of social media. Glad to be here. I was quite the post wh*** back in the day on another vehicle specific forum. So I’ve been around the block a few times. Good times.

First complaint on my new truck. Volume button right is louder and volume button left is quieter. Scroll button up goes through the preset list to the left. Scroll button down goes through the preset list to the right. That crap is 90° off.
