My son has a 2000 Tacoma. 2.7L manual trans xcab. Just teaching him how to maintain and repair his truck. This site looks to be a good resource for Taco owners. First order of business is to get trained up on Gen 1 cruise control.

1,500 on the odometer when I took her off the lot. I'm counting it as new. Glad to be back in a Tacoma!

 

Got lucky with a brand new 3rd gen. From what I understand the 4th is not as desirable and seems like toyotas are trying to buyback most of their 3rds lol

 

Just bought my first Tacoma, its a 2017 Tacoma TRD 4x4 Off Road, super excited, it has 149,000 miles.

 

Thanks for the welcome. My first Toyota since my 1988 4Runner that I drove through my service in the Army. It is a 2023 Tacoma TRD Off Road, premium trim with 5k miles at purchase. It wasn't my first choice in colors, but it is difficult to find premium trim with such low miles in Florida. I look forward to learning and mildly modifying. It will likely go off to college with my son in a few years hence his big smile.

Hello Tacoma folks!
We just bought our second Tacoma (first this century) and are looking to outfit it as a camping vehicle. We are experienced car/tent campers but would like to outfit our new 2018 2wd access cab long bed so that we can sleep in the bed. We had a hard topper with side doors on our '98ish Tacoma and liked the access and the ability to mount a rack for our Thule cargo box. We'll also be getting a swing away hitch rack for our bikes. One question: does a drawer system like the "Decked" unit allow enough room to sleep in a cab high topper? I'm 6'5" tall.

 

Hey all! Long time reader, first day as a member. I picked up my 2023 DCSB SR5 4x4 towards the end of last year and couldn't be happier with the first half year or so. I grew up with a Ranger and then bought a used 07 Tundra, but always had my eye on the Tacomas. We started off the long weekend right with some time off pavement earlier today.
