I didn't think I gave you guys neg rep, I'll get you some pos rep. Sorry about that. I don't think I gave ND neg rep, I thought it was a one time mistake.

I said the same thing about clowns and I didn't get any negative rep. In fact, I got a positive rep thanking me for the welcome.

I'm still grateful for the warm welcome!

Actually, it looks like the only person I gave a neg rep to was themaster, and it was by accident. I did apologize to him in a PM.

Now that we got this outta the way, can you guys gimme some rep?

well, maybe a small u-shaped bracket, and possibly with rubber in between it(kinda what a carrier bearing looks like....but a bracket instead.), you could use some self tapping screws on both sides of the bracket, and you would have the line/extension coming thru the rubber in the middle to protect it. just a thought.

That's a good point. Yes, it screws onto the existing tire stem and is a 42" long extension. I've currently got it run to a temporary location underneath the back of the bumper and there's still about 12" coiled up. I don't think dropping the spare is going to be an issue, but I'll make sure to verify when I've picked a mounting location.

OK. I think I can picture it. I'd still have a screw hole in the bumper though, right?

nah, you wouldnt if you put the bracket on the underside of a part of the frame near the bumper, but where you could get to the extension easily.

I've found some candidate holes. They're on the very bottom edge of the bumper and big enough for the tire stem to fit through. I still haven't found the right nut (shut up, nd) to hold it in place. The local Lowes doesn't have fine enough threads. It appears to be a 5/16" with 32 tpi because the 24 tip just wouldn't work. I'll have to go to a specialty hardware store near work during lunch this week.

On the other hand, I got to spend some quality time with a utility knife and that stall mat I mentioned above. Man, that thing is tough. On the bright side, I've got an awesome bed mat now.

I accidentally introduced the truck to some mud this weekend. I took the back entrance to Lowes, which has dirt ruts alongside the building to get to the front parking lot. I didn't expect it to be muddy, but it was some slick mud. I was in it before I thought to engage the locker, so I just kept the speed up and the truck handled it beautifully. Perfect timing for me to buy the tire stem nut and crawl underneath to find out the nut (stay shut up, nd) was the wrong thread pitch.

I figured everthing you posted this month would have something to do with your truck being in the banner.

D'oh! I see I forgot a (shut up) comment in there. It's hard trying to predict what your devious, drunken mind is going to latch on to.

I'm pretty proud of what shows up whenever I hover over your truck. When I say "hover," I actually mean squat.
