    :bananadance::bananadance: PAGE 5!!! :bananadance::bananadance:

    I've surpassed my original goal. There's absolutely no need for anyone to post on this thread again. Maybe a mod should just lock the thread at this point.

    Is that why you're a moderator? Cause you know how to change the preferences from the defaults?

    Nah, I am a moderator because I work faster than the in-flow of work at my office, so I spend too much time on here. ;)

    That and I love solving problems.

    Well, I was trying to be kinda subtle about a problem above. I'm not sure if this solves a problem or creates one. But since this is my intro thread, and the signal to noise ratio has dropped to zero, I thought it would be helpful if you'd lock the thread. After one of my posts, of course. It's not my problem if someone (who shall remain nameless) feels inadequate if he can't get the last word.

    DONT YOU LOCK THIS POST 007!!! And if you do decide to lock it you better wait until i have the last post! I cant say i'm surprised sawdust, just like a sneaky texan to try to win by having a mod cheat for him... just goes to show you cant trust a texan as far as you can throw him (which isnt far cause they're all fat from too much chili and BBQ)

    It's not cheating when the mod in question is a Texan!

    We need to have a Texas meetup some time. Maybe at that place kilo mentioned.

    Yeah, what he said! But is it really Carolina specific? Seems just generally southern to me. The Texas BBQ joint across the street has great fried okra.

    And we don't use mustard in our BBQ sauce! Mustard is for burgers (without ketchup or mayo). Oh, and they need jalapenos too.

    I agree with jalapenos, but mustard sauce can be really freakin good (or really freakin bad). Just like everything else, if its done right its good.

    And its still cheating, even if he's a Texan... actually that makes it even worse

    Fried Okra originated here, supposedly...which is why Irmo, SC has the "Okra Strut" (which is basically only a reason to drink and to have various political folks march in a parade and make speeches).

    And, as for the Chili-Cheese-A-Plenty...it's only about the most awesome thing in the world. The Beacon in Spartanburg makes it, and it's a huge chili-cheesburger with "a-plenty" (which is piled about a foot high with onion rings and fries).

    Pork hash is "everything but the squeal" (but in some places they use only shoulders and hams). They throw it all in a pot and boil it down until it's really soft, and you eat it over rice.

    If I'd really wanted to cheat, I'd have talked to him in PM. Instead, what I really wanted to do was stretch this thread by talking about closing it. Reverse psychology, you see? I'm like a chess grandmaster. I'm always thinking multiple moves ahead. You might as well give up now. You've got no hope against me.

    Page 6 can't be far now...

    Hey now, don't be puttin' down my beloved LMA (Lake Murray Area)...ha (even though you are right about us not having a breeze in some time). As far as making fun of Texans, no problem there (I'll refer you to my post on the "Carolina Alliance" thread).
