Ah, you're more perceptive than I realized. See, I knew all that you're saying there. I had myself setup to win either way -- no matter what 007 did. You see, chess grandmasters can't be sure how the other players will respond, so they need contingency plans. I'm still a step ahead of you. Just go ahead and give up now.

You live in the Lake Murray Area? ok thats a little different then. Lake Murray is nice. one of my friends parents has a really nice lake house down there and we take the pontoon out drinking alot. I was primarily thinking about downtown Columbia. The USC area. It so hot and humid and the air is so dead it feels like you're in a Sauna.

See, I went to school there, but I don't live in Columbia...too much crime and not enough houses that say "a gun lives here."

Watch out. I've got in-laws and out-laws in West Columbia and Camden.

And that crack on the CA thread was weak (You'll fit right in the alliance). I've heard that one before and it was focused on UT students. I'm not one. Water off a ducks back...

Drunk too? You'll never fit into the Alliance if you're not.

Well, I'm Irish (hence the last name), and there technically is an "National Drinking Team" in Ireland (if you've ever seen "Beerfest," it's some sort of club patterned after that I'm told). I'm not sure if that's their logo or not, but I found it on a t-shirt site and really liked it.

I think the Alliance may need an official drinking team

Careful, you might start a trend. No need to have a team to drink.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

Well, sawdust, as long as we're dragging this thread on as long as possible, is there an actual topic you'd like to discuss?

You're falling behind my superior strategizing once again. I knew this would happen and I wouldn't have any good topic to offer, so if 007 had locked this thread when asked, I wouldn't have been faced with this conundrum.

I did notice you getting philosophical on the Moving to Texas thread about what it means to be a redneck. Are you trying to claim you've got a better definition that Jeff Foxworthy? A glorious lack of sophistication

Strategizing... is that anything like "Strategery"?

A glorious lack of sophistication. I like that, i think Jeff Foxworthy hit the nail on the head with that one. I'm not nearly egocentric enough to think i could define redneckism better than ole Jeff. We should be close to page 7 now

Uh oh. gcwaterski's intro thread is catching up to mine! 111 vs. 117 posts. I guess the zero content here is starting to hurt me :)

I ordered an Access Limited roll-up tonneau yesterday. I hope it'll show up in time for me to install this weekend. It'll be my first mod. A bit of a no-brainer really. I just gotta decide what to do next, and what should wait until I'm out of warranty, etc. I may just pull that secondary air filter when I'm messing with the tonneau.

What do I do, as in a job? I'm a computer geek. A software architect at a financial services company. I heard years ago gearheads complaining that you gotta be a computer programmer these days to work on cars. I never had the interest before, but I'm so proud of the Tacoma, I'm starting to learn. I figure I'm qualified.

Woodworking is my other major hobby. This year I build a Murphy bed for our guest room. I had quite some fun organizing all my tools in the garage to fit the Tacoma in there. Now I guess I'll be investing in some more mechanic tools too.

edit: When is it going to spill over to page 7? I felt sure this post would do it.

I can't tell whether you're serious or not. You gotta be clearer or at least put up smileys to give me a clue.

Since I'm a computer guy, I figure I'm qualified to work on modern cars that are computer controlled. I also got a degree in physics, which should help.
