    Frame swap, restorations
Hello everyone, i’ve been following the forums and reading quite a lot for the past year. So much that i bought a 2nd gen tacoma V6 automatic for myself and joined the community. The truck needed a new frame and drove smooth! I replaced the frame myself, did some fender trimming and installed 35s on my truck. I was very happy with the outcome. No complains at all the truck drove like a dream for the past 15k miles no signs. 2 weeks ago i was driving home from work doing 65 on the highway and right before my exit the transmission gave out at 114k miles on it. I rolled it out the exit try to put it in gear and would only reverse. I took it home and put the scanner on it p2714 came up ughhhh. I opened up the pan removed the valve body cleaned it and tested all the solenoids. I installed a new filter refilled the transmission with toyota fluid as recommended and filled it accordingly. I followed by shifting the gears from park to L all seemed to be working fine again. I then put it in reverse and try to move the truck and it wouldn't move, no idea as to where to go from there. Any intel will be appreciated.

You are saying it only drives in reverse, okay. Are you able to shift into D? If so does it feel like it engages the gear?

So it will not engage at gears at all, the truck is at a 1500rpm idle constantly as you move from park to drive and does not engage. P2714 is the only code that shows up on the xtool d7s, i can hear the solenoids close and open as i move the knob.
