First I want to say that this site is awesome!! I just wanted to drop in and introduce my new ride. I just picked up a 2001 Taco SR5 4x4 V6 TRD pckg. It had a very high mileage @ 249K, but i gotta it for dirt cheap @$3K. The body/paint is in perfect condition and the high mileage was because my bro's coworker used it to commute to work only. So the truck has never been off road=) I'll try to get pix up soon, but its stock so i really dont want to post it up.... I've been looking at members rides and I'm so eager to start beefin up my ride!! Maybe I'll post pix after my first mod.

Thanks for the welcome. And Scocar i'll be looking into that recall. Also my nephew works at toyota so I got all the major tune up parts needed such at timing belt, water pump, sprk plugs belts etc.... for $300 and hopefully i'll be doing that sometime soon.

To all the NorCal members, do you know of any local toyota junkyards where i can find replacement parts. Someones junk may be useful for my Taco.... I just needs small lil interior parts like the lever to close the arm rest, etc...

Back to square one after the 2001. So...
There are several large make-specific dismantlers in Rancho Cordova (just east of Sacramento) if you strike out in the Bay Area.

Thanx Scocar. I'll try calling around if no one has any local dismantlers they go to.
