Welcome to the forum. Don't you just love regular cabs? They seem to be the perfect size for anything. If you want the frame to last longer, Fluid Film works quite well.

    Hope you enjoy your truck,
    Charlie

other things to consider off the top of my head: new coolant, timing belt/components, valve lash adjustment, cataclean big maybe, maybe someone could chime in about the chevy alternator swap, new brake fluid(?), put some more lights on it, tow hitch, nerf bars.

I forgot to mention I did
    Cat back exhaust,
    coolant flush,
    oil and filter.

Definitely going to do timing belt, not sure why I didn't think of that.
Did a little cleaning/under coating around the things I replaced but I'll keep it up with the rust repair.
Brake fluid looked ok when I put in the longer rear line, but should probably flush it.
Didn't see the Chevy alt in the DIY(worth it?)
Custom tube bumpers and additional lighting is definitely on the way.

I don't think cat-back exhausts come with the new cats since they're so difficult to get approved by the EPA or CARB/equivalents and that our trucks (or at least mine) have 2 cats. cataclean may still be an option.

And yes, I heard on another thread that a chevy alt swap is easily possible since they're identical mounts. just gonna have to wait for someone who knows about them to put their 2 cents.
