Excited to join this group and excited to become a first-time, new Tacoma owner in (hopefully) about 24 hours. New Tacoma (2022) has arrived at dealership and awaiting some final build of options I went for. Getting a Lunar Rock (like I had any choice based on availability) TRD Sport long bed double cab 4WD. I will be trading my 2015 RAM 1500 in. I am hoping it won't be too tough to go from the full-size pickup to this smaller version, and hoping that giving up the hemi won't hurt too bad either. I am sure it will be easier on the fillups! I have driving the Tacoma so I feel like it won't be too bad to downsize, and I still have bigger bed than my short-box RAM so I can still haul critters and gear for hunting and camping, etc.

Anyway I wanted to make my first post and look forward to learning what I can do with my new Tacoma! And and all suggestions welcomed to this newbie.

    Congrats!

Really wanted LR or AG... wound up with House Wife White pearl. It's a great colour regardless.

As far as what to do... drive it. Enjoy it. I am.

Did you get a manual or automatic?

    Welcome aboard.

I've had my 2017 SR over 5 years now. Just like my two other Toyota trucks, it's great!

    Cool, congrats!

That is exactly what I plan on doing w/my 2020 DCLB as soon as the warranty runs out next year.

Thanks all for the replies. Yes, automatic (gotta keep the wife happy) and I see here it wasn't even a choice. I am in Nebraska. Currently the dealer add-ons are done save the performance exhaust, which hopefully arrives tomorrow and gets installed. Then I go get her tomorrow afternoon (dealership is about 1.5 hours away). We have a local dealership but the deal was 10X better driving to the bigger dealer.

Congrats on the new taco! I also had a 2015 Ram 1500 with the hemi (had a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Rav4 hybrid in between that and my Tacoma). No doubt you will notice the difference when you step on the gas, but you will also notice the difference when you pull up to the gas pump :) If you don't need the towing or payload capacity of a full size pickup you won't be sorry you made the move. I also got the sport DCLB, but in a 4x2 version. The extra foot of bed has helped me out a couple of times. And as @Speedfreak said, post some pics when you pick 'er up.

Oh, one more thing. If you value your wallet, run from this forum while you still can! :spending::anonymous:

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Sounds like a plan. This will be great and good luck!

Congratulations! Can't wait to see it. As a starting point, get the Stryker hood struts, Upgrade your speakers, and get seat covers. My 2cents. Get your 2.5" lift at 30k+ miles, or sooner. haha.

I got the DCLB too, and luv it.
